Vandals
Insurance got back to me im getting a lil under 2600 to have her redone.
and if i find out who did this crap i think a corvette forum *** whooping is in order.
If you find out who did it, the *** whoopin' goes without saying. I suggest carving "puto" into the forehead of the offender. Give him a daily reminder of why vandalizing someone's car is a bad idea.
My guys have a rep. with a few shops in the area. I think imma go with some more custom then standard color on the paint. HONESTLY im leaning heavily on shaving the door handles. I know its hit or miss with some guys but its different.
Even as a young vandal/theif myself, I have always respected performance and exotic cars, and never understood why anyone would want to ruin beauty like that. I remember saving a few Porsches from certain doom by some of my then associates. I have long since paid my dues, and believe Im squared away karmicly now.
From my experiences I say after its repainted, keep an especial watch over it, even a camera on it if you have the means, its likely if they see it fixed they'll want to do it again.
shes usually parked in the garage but it was one of those rare occasions i left her outside.
Recently, I passed like 3 SUV's at about 125mph. I think I got up to like 140~ on that run and let off because I saw some road contours that police could be hiding in. So for the next bunch of miles I went 80 through all the iffy spots. Even keeping my eye out I got pulled over -with a warning- He only clocked me at 80, but "Someone reported you for speeding, they said you could have even been going as fast as 90"
I said I didnt think so, and I was using as much restraint as I could muster. He let me go (Very cool CHP)
But thats vandalism right there! Everytime I see an awesome car fly past me (not that it happens much) I say right on! There goes someone having a blast, driving their car like it was meant to be driven. I get a thrill watching it take off, and hearing the motor scream past. How could anyone want to ruin that experience for anyone else? How could you not enjoy saying you saw a Testrossa (for example) running at 180+? I understand it from the states business perspective, because they'd ALL be all bankrupt and out of federal funding if they got rid of speeding tickets..
On a personal/citizen level though I dont get it.. Feels like more of the same vandalism to me. Not trying to change the topic, just needed to rant, and I do feel better

Too bad the body's fiberglass, Ive heard of a trick of grounding the battery through the body (i think it is), so that when they touch the car they get zapped. Right then you should turn on all your flood lights, and start laughing at them. Bastards!

The beautiful thing about this is they tried it before, without the thumb print, everyone agreed it did not work, and law enforcement said it did not stop any crime.
