I am the proud father of a 9 pound 14.6 ounce baby boy. I plan on getting him a vette we can work on one day. And mom always wanted a late 60's camaro...

Congrats I will hoist one, or maybe two, to your good fortune. Glad Mom and future Vette owner are doing fine.

I need some practice....it's been a while, probably can't hit the broad side of a barn anymore.
yup rod n gun is like a 5 minute drive for me too I came across 2 100rd boxs of .45fmj yesterday at wally world, id already maxd out the 6 box limit on .40fmj so i sent the wife over to nab the 45 for me (i buy ammo for my gun buddys when I find it cuz they cant make it to wally world intime to buy it) and they sold the 2 boxs to the guy infront of her. Im starting to keep atleast 100-300 rounds of 9mm and .45fmj for my buddys if i can find it. I figure even tho I dont own those calibers buddys of mine do so ill have my own amm to shoot or I ca sell it to them a cost. As soon as my reloading operation gets into full swing ill just reload .45 and keep a stock of hollows and FMJ to sell to my guys. makes it easyer than hunting down ammo around town.

buko congrats cooter! best wish;s to the future of vette ownership and your wife!

since we re tlking about new additions I just added an AKC welsh corgi pembroke today. I felt like I was buying a damn car with this friggn dog lol we named her Princess Prissy Pants

OMG, wow and on top of it she or he, which I am sure it is a she had to write PUTO. Wow. I would kill her man that is like a $2,500 or $3,000 do over there. The whole car is scratched up. I feel for you pal. Keep us posted and make a Police Report, hopefully you have insurance to cover it. Wow again. All us Vette owners need to start parking indoor at all time. Maybe that will help. It might cost something but its better then doing a whole repaint for $3k. let get the B$%$h.......

i went with a shop that's done several of my teams cars and have put out quality work, they were also highly regarded by several judges from shows in the past. SGTs off of dyer.

I think i saw cooter while headed down dyer today. he said he was rolling in primer and i saw a burgundy with primer c4 headed the way i was coming from. over by chapin high. could be wrong tho lol

I definitely want to see your car when it's done. I have another car and a pickup that I'm wanting to get painted in the near future. Did they manage to meet the price your insurance paid?

These people are the scum of the earth and if and when they get to court the punishment is usually a small fine they can't pay and then a suspended sentence that doesn't mean jack crap.

Thought y'all knew how to use a rope down there! If only the law would let you make a few "tree ornaments", maybe some of that crap would stop!

It's not just Texas, it's the whole country. There's no consequences for the criminals any more, just consequences for the law-abiding citizens who happen to catch a bad guy and do what the authorities should be doing for us.

I look at it this way - I believe I'm a reasonably good driver. In good weather and light traffic I believe I can safely drive my Vette at 85 MPH on the interstate. The reason I don't do that is I know I will get a ticket, pay a fine, and pay higher insurance. No "maybe", that IS what happens. I know what the consequence is so I don't do it. (well ... almost never ) If it was legal to shoot someone for doing that vandalism stuff I don't think you'd see half as much. As it is, spray paint, keys, whatever - they know NOTHING more than a slap on the wrist will happen so why should they worry? To go back to my speed limit analogy, if the only thing a cop could do was yell at you, wouldn't you drive differently?

Hope the repairs come out better than new, and I hope the little putos next visit the home of a paranoid well-armed schitzo who has been off his meds too long!

Hahaha. Burgundy with grey primer on sides on back. Looks like a black car bra on front at a distance but it's really an unfinished front bumper with rattlecan black primer. That was definitely me. One of my soldiers came up and told me he likes "my racing stripes" As far as the paint shop goes I'm gonna call one of the guys today. See if we can get things rolling. It's my fault. Been so busy with the wife and baby boy. Oh. And as far as the guys trashing up your car. If this place is anything like Bragg was then these *******s will step on the wrong ptsd havin combat vets toes and that'll be the end of it. Funny. My physical therapist told me a bunch of hadjis moved in next door and it makes him uneasy. I guess their business does opfor out here for soldiers to have a more realistic experience. He's lookin out the window at them then sees my vette and says, "See. That's an American Corvette right there! If these guys are makin so much money why don't they drive American? Why are they drivin beemers?"

No, but that was one of the original mods I planned over two years ago. Haven't gotten around to that, but I was thinking of either shaving it off completely or relocating the door handle high like a C3 or even low to where it would be hidden under the door. I photoshopped it without the handles and liked the sleek look. I would love to see yours when it's finished. Either pics or I'll meet you up to check it out. I have 2 different complete customs I have been thinking of making. I like both ideas but don't want to spill the beans on this forum until I'm done. My mechanic who originally came up with all the mechanical work on our very first project was working on converting my vette into a mid engine and placing the engine under the decklid. He was planning on using Fiero parts. He had moist of it figured out. It was a crazy plan and it never came about due to me joining the army and taking off. Who knows...maybe one day you'll see me driving a midengine C4!

Cooter....you could just join the dark side and build a V8 Fiero and keep your Vette as is. I'll take you for a spin in my V8 Fiero some time. I think you'll like it.
