I noticed that all of the photobucket stuff got screwed up with their attempts to get people to pay $400 per year for 3rd party sharing so I will directly upload images when I get a chance

Good to see you're not updating this thread super often, has to mean not to many things are breaking

As a matter of fact I had to start another thread for what seemed to be a bigger issue. A flatbed truck will be taking it down to get fixed this Thursday
So its been awhile since I have posted on this thread, but the car is currently running and driving. The problem from earlier? Low on oil, pretty embarrassing for a car guy and I cringe when I think of the drive back from Indy with it acting up. But it made it back, and now only has a tick to show for it. It could be much worse.
It also got hit while parked, causing quarter panel damage that I posted about in another thread. This has been straightened and the car is awaiting paint. While this was going on, I ordered interior parts which brings me to its current state.
I ordered deluxe door panels from Wilcox, can't beat the 20% off sale on that. I also have carpet, door panel black plastic inserts, and wire/speakers to install. During compression testing, it arced at one point, and the speakers have not worked since. Carpet was faded and coming part when vacuumed, and the door panels and the plastic were just falling apart each and every time they are taken off. Its a shame that when you order deluxe door panels, they are not actually complete with the black piece around the handle. When you're looking at $900 for the pair, its something that should be included.
The goal is to start on the project this weekend, I'm sure I'll be back down the street at Keen Parts. Having a Corvette vendor in town has been quite the blessing.
I have some interior updates, 4 days straight of work ranging from 1-3 people depending on the time. It was quite the project but well worth it in the end.
My grandpa was nice enough to let me use the old paint booth at his body shop, making the project a little easier. Heat and space were pretty nice to have

The difference from when you first bought it to now is nothing short of phenomenal. You and your family do great work. And it's great to see another vette brought back from near dead to great again.
If you don't mind faux leather, you can buy a set of Igee seat covers from Ebay for $179 with free shipping. They have gotten very good reviews here and elsewhere. And the price is excellent. They'll help finish off the interior and give some breathing room before getting new seat upholstery.

Thanks! I have some black neoprene covers on mine that are being washed. I wish the seats were in better shape but they're 30 years old at this point, it happens. I appreciate you checking out the thread
Reminds me of being around your age when I bought my 1980. $35k and 28 years later it has been a long lasting love/hate relationship.....kinda like marriage I'm getting ready to put in my 4th set of front carpets. Aftermarket crap fades even though she is garaged, luckily front only are cheap.

Its definitely been love/hate at times with the issues that arrive on the car. Tint is in the future to protect the carpet, but not blackout carpet.
So the corvette will be heading to a shop for possible engine work. The last few weeks I've had an issue where I would drive it somewhere like cars and coffee then would leave and the car would stumble and belch out the intake. Often, a heavier throttle would clear it up as RPMs increased. In lower RPMs it would stumble on the highway. The other day it would not even squeal tires and stomping on the throttle at 5 MPH resulting in more stumbling and belching out the intake. This is all in addition to the 5 minute warmup needed after a cold start to prevent the same issues, but that has been going on since the new MAF was installed two years ago. Adjusting the TPS has helped make it run smooth, but it still stumbles on the way back from places. It's now above my pay grade and will be checked out by someone who knows much more than I. Any suggestions are appreciated
No CEL on, but I'm not entirely convinced that center display works. It will display the parking brake light and occasionally that hatch light, but I have not seen anything else.
