How thick was the nitrous plate? Did you happen to note
any temperature changes with the plate in place but with
the nitrous inactive?

The throttle body is quite close to the runners and I believe
the TB plates open by tipping back at the top. On a TPI,
there is more distance between the TB & leading runners.
Perhaps additional length here improves cyl-cyl distribution?

If this has merit and if it is possible to stack NO2 plates, I'd
be interested in what the gauges report.

Assuming Holley optimized plenum volume, stacking spacers
would move a stock plenum away from the ideal. But it would
restore volume to a modified plenum.

The plate is ~5/8" thick. Those NA temps were with the plate on. I matched the plate bores to the throttlebody bores. 58 mm throttlebody. There's ~4 Kpa vacuum in the plenum compared to atmospheric pressure at 6800+ rpm so there's some good air speed happening . I am at the extreme end of useage for this manifold.

Like to play with Helmholtz Resonance calculations?

Here are some values for an unmodified HSR (non-Vortec)

Plenum Volume:
4,475 ml

Runner Volume:
225 ml

Runner Sides:
Outer wall: 5-3/4",
Inner wall: 6-1/2"

I have been using the Corvette for about a week now and I have no major problems. The tranny just broke in my winter beater so the Corvette is my daily driver right now.

I wired the injectors like the stock TPI. Right side on one channel and left side on one channel, batch fire. I need to run it a bit rich at about 2500-3000 rpm and I think it is because of some resonace in the fuel pressure. I am using 120 lb/hr injectors and fireing all four in the same fuel rail at the same time is a lot. I am going to re-wire the injectors to use one injector from each corner as a group.

I probably need to add a fuel pressure damper too, something similar to this:

Congratulations.

I'm looking forward to reading more about the results as
your time permits.

Snnnuuugggg fit.

1) Hard to judge from the video - is there adequate allowance
for thermal expansion. One would not want to discover the
throttle won't close after an extended WOT run.

2) I have wondered about relocating the cross-over to have it
run between the front & rear runner clusters. Do you think
such a change would help clearance and be practical ?

Default Stealth Ram

I have a stealth ram in my 1991. I did alot of port work & matching. I use a taller hood. I know that most want their corvettes stock, but I think the stock hood look a little bit better with a hiher rise on the scoop.

Got Pics? I would like to see them. But I would suggest starting a new thread so we don't hijack JoBy's thread.
