Man I should pack up some Sat. morning and go see this project in person and maybe lend a helping hand. Shouldn't be to long of a drive. Then again maybe I shouldn't cause it might tempt me to try the swap and I have enough trouble with what i'm doing now. Pipe
I'm installing a Barnes 5 stage dry sump, 9017 with lobes. One of the nice things about the pump is that it will pull up to 20 inches of vacuum. So I can use it as a dry sump and a vacuum pump. Mounting it on the bottom right side. Using stock motor mounts, no engine plate.
Using a three gallon, 12 quart, oil tank. I'll probably have to remove the A/C tower for the tank. It's 16" tall and 9" in diameter.
The pump ships in 3-4 weeks. Should have pics in July to post.

Bottom right, next to the bottom radiator hose, between the header and block. I'm sure the back of the pump will almost touch the motor mount. I think the pump is ~9.5" long, http://www.barnessystems.com/9017_rp.htm. You can contact Tom Reyer at www.autofabracecars.com for details. He's on the contact page.
AutoFab, formerly S&H, has done a lot of fab work on my car. Check out everything under my rear clip. http://www.3cinc.net/FuelCell.html
Also, the pump can be made even shorter if they remove the pressure bypass. You can bypass the pressure on a remote oil filter adapter, http://www.cvproducts.com/cv/product...px?prodID=1574 . I'm installing a remote Fram HP6 filter.

Why? It's been at a standstill and by May of 2008 it still won't be done. Young kids have pipe dreams. 1 gazillion hp sounds awesome but unfortunately it costs money.
You can't beat the facts
Max hp for a 700r4 is 735 hp max tq is 580 or so .
D44 good up to 750 hp on a good day.
Brakes good up to 735 to 760 hp and no more stoppie

I wanted to go with a big inch small block. But I couldn't find a combination that would have 700+ horsepower and have it available all the time. Compression and force induction generate to much heat. NOS not usuable on a road course. But I do like your combo for the street, drags and/or standing mile.

Not just young kids, dude.... you oughta see the dreamers that come in my shop. You have to have the patience of Job to deal with these types.
You will likely see a new thread though.... in C4's For Sale.
Don't let the people on the forum that are still living in the moms basement disappoint you.
I finally moved out of my mom's basement. She was sick of me coming home with the cops a mile behind me with my pathetic 420hp 350 small block.
Have you noticed the original poster hasn't posted FOR A LONG TIME? His pipe dream has probably DIED. DUH.
Nah, I'd keep this one alive since not many people will check it compared to a thread you start where you get to title it and anyone that's interested in that topic will take a look.
