No because that has never happened before. I dunno why exactly the rings allow for so much blow by but thats how it was explained to me from the prior owner. I am just trying to understand.

How many miles does it take to burn the quart? Low tension oil rings that are used in racing engines can burn a quart every 200 miles. For a drag race engine and even a short track circle racing car that is not a big deal. On a street engine it a pain in the **** to be adding oil every 200 miles and it will smoke at WOT quite a bit. The rings should be replaced with standard tension oil rings.

Sounds like thats whats going on. I drive about 60 miles a day for 5 days which brings me up to 300 a week.
I know its going to be a pain to change the rings too. I will have to disassemble the entire engine just about. Well, I might tackle this here come January/Febuary. Anything else I can do while I am at it to see some gains? I am thinking new heads or port/polish and 5 angle job to current heads.
