They are well regarded, but out of production and somewhat difficult
to source.

Do you have a line on one?

I have it and love it. Very very complex to work/service. I have to go 400 round trip miles for anything. All in all, awesome

I had one for sale here but the deal fell thru on my end, so the other guy is still first in line.

motodog,
My 383 SuperRam was built by Cottrell Racing Engines, (TPIS). It has over 400 #ft at 2100 rpm through 5900 rpm. at 4800 it is next to 500 # ft. Rev limiter set at 6250. It's lots of fun. HP is 483 @ 5400 rpm. These dyno results were with ?30 minutes on engine. It's even better since the rings have worn in.

I'm not sure of my hp, but with an extrude honed SuperRam on my 406 my 84 has run 10.58 @ 126. I just ran 10.62 on Wednesday.

In my opinion the superam is one of the best street/strip intakes you can buy. It has worked very well for me.

It has a great, wide torque band. I footbrake to 2100 rpm and shift at 6500. My 60ft averages 1.42 to 1.45. It's a good all around manifold. Not real easy to take on and off, but managable.

My viewpoint is on my website, click my name.

It all depends on what you want from the engine.

Motodog,
It is in a '90 Z51 w/ 6 speed. I believe if it had cats it would be street legal. I use it only as a track car. The Fidenza ceramic clutch is not very street friendly. It runs on 93 octane.

Willie,
Just so you know that I am in the process of purchasing a complete Accel Super Ram set up from Caboboy.
Tim made a generous offer that I couldn't refuse and it will be interesting to see the performance gains over the factory intake system that is currently on my 87,
Doug McCay has run 12.99 with it with 60 foot times in the low 1.70's at 102.00 in it's present state and that is with your old Good Year Eagle street tires that I got from you
Would be nice to have it by the time Vette Magic rolls around but certainly not a priority as I have a lot on the table ahead of getting this done.

Then it will be a matter of a new tune up on the chip that will keep it all smog compliant

Hi Jim, hope it works out for you. It'll be good to see your car at Vette Magic. Just don't take me out in the King of the Hill finals. I won't be out tomorrow; waiting on some pistons for my motor. Willie

It won't seem right not seeing you and Lonnie at the track for opening day.
I will be talking to you about the Super Ram set up and see what tips I can get from you that I will then pass on to Marc Power at MP Motorsports in Santa Rosa who eventually will do the installation.

Just so you know in advance, the Division 7 Summit ET Finals will be in Bakersfield this year. Each track can send a total of 2 teams each with a roster of 40 with the Race Of Champions now allowing 5 members per team.
Just not sure if this is just the 5 top members from each track on 1 team or if it applies to both teams?
Also, ET Finals runoffs to be held now on Saturdays with the Race of Champions event on Sunday which I feel has been long over due.

Listen to www.1320go.com on the Infineon link starting at 8 AM for updated information as I get it from Georgia.
