Same car I have had alot of problems with but finally fixed almost all of them making it a pretty reliable car... until now.
Problem:
Car starts, drive down the road, fast, no problem... As SOON as I let it rip or find just that right rpm/throttle amount.. Car drops all RPMS and dies leaving me on the side of the road.
I try and start it back up then it turns over with no starting. (a couple times the key does nothing not even turning it over).
I just put a new ignition coil on it tonight, car felt more power but problem still happened first time I let it rip.
But then, after you turn it off, scratch your head for (variable) amount of time, the car will turn over and start right up... and wait for my next roadside desitination of fun/high blood pressure.
Questions:
Is the rock of the body during the thrust pushing some loose wire around, or into a ground position?
Is the ignition module above the coil a possible suspect?

A couple of quick thoughts would be:
1. fuel problem -- fuel filter or fuel pump sock is clogging, but wait time allows some gunk to fall off and open it up again for a few.
2. ignition switch problem -- try taking the ignition key off the key ring and without anything dangling from it in the switch, see if the problem occurs.
3. check some primary ground points -- e.g. driver-side bell-housing, driver side foot well outer kick panel, etc.

you could take the icm to autozone and they can test it.. sounds like you are loosing a serious ground if turning the key does nothing. do all the gauges drop as if the key is turned off? there is a ground on the left side of the bellhousing and one right above the oil temp sensor. are the battery terminals tight?
Battery terminals are fine I hadn't chdked all those grounds I cannot find the one for the footwell that the guy above posted about but the ground on the bell housing is pretty covered with crap from my slow rear main seal leak.

And yes all the gauges just turn
off as if
I turned the car off and even releasing the clutch will not redraft the vehicle.
