It is AHHH-LIVE!
I'm really happy. Plus, its running pretty darn well on the factory tune! (Some minor changes were made. As I drive it around, I wondered if it might take/like some extra timing, but not much to complain about. Nope, I can't complain... OTOH, it's time to plug in TunerProRT and see what's up. That'll be the next step.
BIG THANKS TO THE GUYS AT THE CF!!!

Are you running the factory tune, or the chip I made for you? I believe you are running the chip that has the modifications made to support the larger injectors and other changes needed for your car. I would not want to give someone the wrong impression that the factory tune would work on your car with no changes. It is close but has changes needed to support your equipment.

OTOH, I was suprised about how flexible the stock GM programming really is. Besides changing injector size/voltages, GM's program seems to be handing everything else pretty well. No codes and it's running pretty darn smooth. Thanks Brian!!!

Besides injector size/latency data, here are the other parms that were changed....
EGR off
AIR off
VATS off
WOT timing lowered for safety until more scans are completed
FAN turn-ons lowered to 195. (180 stat installed)
With the addition of a hi-flo water pump, I'm seeing max top-end temps around 215 degrees so far. My goal was to keep them down in the 205 range. (An alum radiator might still be warranted/ideal to create a good non-EGR environment.) Between that and the extra overlap of my aftermarket cam, this was how I'm address NOx fumes. Plus, I'm still running 6.2L-rated Magnaflow metallic spun CATS for hydrocarbons.
No emissions checks in my area but I want to keep it somewhat compliant.
Today I need to start running some scans to see if the motor is really as happy as it sounds!!!

I'll bet it runs like raped ape, too!

Note: My vid is in photobucket. I'm thinking it doesn't do as well (with file-sharing and/or processor speed) as YouTube. Don't be suprised if it takes a few seconds for the video to load/play.

Brian helped me out too. Thanks man!

Hope I don't need a wideband (vs using BLMs). I just had the shop tack in a new O2 bung plug for the passenger side. The one that came with my headers had already vibrated out! LOL
Another funny story...
When I got to the exhaust shop (20 minutes from my home), I noticed antifreeze dribbling on the ground. Turned out I'd forgotten to tighten the bottom radiator (to radiator) hose connection. :o I'd only lost about an inch of water and it didn't blow off the tube. Guess I'm lucky!
I'm surprised I didn't see any drips after startup in garage and shorter runs around the block!!! (OTOH, the new hose was pretty snug.)
No other leaks though. No oil/fuel drips. Tranny sounds good (with new pilot bearing). Power steering is whining a bit though. It's the first time in 21yrs that it's been removed and COMPLETELY emptied. I wonder if it doesn't like fresh fluid or if it doesn't like that I used plain-old PS fluid?

My 383 was running ok on mild modifed bin, but WOT was 17 to 1 on mine
Took alot of PE to get near 13.0

..WW
