That is a serious roll cage! How fast are you planning on going?
Haven't been over 160mph yet. This cage is for roadracing and it really stiffens the chassis; and not too heavy as it's .090 chromemoly. I've removed about 150lbs from the car, and well almost 600 ft-lbs of torque helps get it moving...

Hey gcrouse, how much boost are you running? Your setup is close to what I am building at the moment, and I'm curious how much rwhp I'll get. I'm planning on 12 lbs of boost.

Well we are into day 3 the first day and half were spent putting the bender together & mounting it.

So far we got one scrathed top, one bloody finger, two bents bars, an empty 12 pack, two late nights and three day to NHIS

Here are some more pics, I have many more if you'd like to see

I'm gonna be very much interested in the results. I've seen a cage done on a C4 that has the side bars put down low enough that they don't effect entry and exit at all. It was really cool, but it was also in a convertable, so it might have to be designed different.

I'm really interested in one that would allow me to still maintain roof storage in the rear and wouldn't affect my entry and exit.

Keep us posted.

It's going to have removable side bars, it should only affect exit & Entry when bars are in place.( Only when racing) It is going to allow for the roof to be stored otherwise it just isn't worth it.

Looks very nice. I can't wait to see the finished product. I am looking into getting a cage built for mine as well. I may just go with the Auto Power 4pt bar again, who knows.

is there anywhere that sells roll bars for a c-4 already assembled? that sure looks like alot of work & fabricating. i saw one in a zr-1 that looked awsome...it also looked stock? my mechanic said he could build me one but said it would run me $800.00. that seemed like alot of $ but seeing how its busting your ***** it sounds fair now. good luck. i look forward to seeing the finished product.

I'm late for work, damn this sucks. So day 4, two bloody fingers, 12 empty beers 5 bent pipes 4 right one wrong  ,no sleep, swing out connectors that sucked and went back, still waiting on a harness, black poopie in my nose, my cars a wreck, so far it's going well.

Don't have much time but here are some shots

yoslambo1@cs.com $800 is a great deal if it's a 6 point and you can put the top in. there are many premades but most you can get the top in the back :(

We talked about it in the beginning and we thinking a kit at about $400.   It would be much more. This would be easy if you don't want the top to fit in the back.

You are writing all this down right? Especially since you need to make one for Paul and possibly one for El Destructo. How sickening was it when you started cutting that hole with the cut-off wheel?
