How eerily familiar that site is! I helped a friend once gut a Mustang..and He put a cage in it. TONS of tubing. Lots and Lots of work. Seeing this will prolly make some that didn't know what's involved see it is an ordeal to say the least.

Keep us posted, and the final result should be nice. How are you going to paint it(You are going to paint it right?) without overspray all over the car?

If anyone is interested, my chassis builder has built several cages for C4's. His most recent was a Callaway ZR1 out of Texas (I'm sure some of you have seen it, I know Cameron has); it has to be the most trick cage I've ever seen!! You can still use the targa storage and the removable door bars are the cleanest I've ever seen. They aren't swing-outs but instead are removable via a really trick locking mechanism; he spent countless hours on our lathe building them. It is also NHRA legal as Bobby has NHRA certify all of his work (ie., little tech sticker and all). The work is NOT CHEAP; Bobby is the finest TIG man I've ever seen. But, if anyone's interested drop me a line or you can call Bobby directly: Shahan Race Cars

You are writing all this down right? Especially since you need to make one for Paul and possibly one for El Destructo. How sickening was it when you started cutting that hole with the cut-off wheel?
Actually Paul did the cutting, I sat in the corner with a beer I couldn't watch :cry

We are taking notes, but taking into acount the drinking and the late nights I'm not sure we'd be able to follow them. :D

thats pretty trick how your making it whre you can still store your targa top AND have removable door pieces so that you only have trouble climbing over them when they are installed and not for daily driving. does anyone know of a plcae that sells them with those two options? how many points is urs going to be?
