Yep. Complete simpleton if I don't think the way you do. Therefore I must be an idiot as well. You just climbed to the silver in the "douche-o-meter" olympics.

Of course it does, on paper. Too bad the real world isn't on paper. Lab tests in a controlled environment on a product mean to be used in a variety of non-controlled environments would be about as useful as our president telling a cop he was racist.....

Even this isn't a good comeback. Over 80% of this statement holds no baring on any relevant topic, and half of that 80% is sheer nonsense.

i.e.:
Me: His argument is greater than yours.
You: Of course it does.

huh?!

LAWL! I'm sure he does. And he comes to your house and removes his signature from the dash if he finds out that you don't use it in your 65 GT350.

It means that you are acting as closed minded as he is, therefore I'm sure to YOU his argument is the bestestest EVAR! To me it's petty, retarded and a bit obnoxious and the condescending tone attached to it reminds me why I don't hang around a bunch of vette/bmw/porche owners.

Let me get this right...

According to your logic its petty, retarded, and obnoxious to be weary of a products claims, even if the claims seem unlikely? I'm assuming you believe every as-seen-on-TV ad that you see.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but I personally stated that I've seen Seafoam work. So I'm not on his side OR your side. I was just saying that his argument is better than yours, by quite a bit.

P.S. Don't tell anyone, but you are hanging around a bunch of vette owners. Shhhhhhh .

By that logic, wouldn't it eventually seep out through the other side?

My argument is that if you will ONLY believe what results come from a lab and NOTHING else, you're missing a lot. To be condescending to those that have experienced real world benefits from things not in his laboratory findings is just stupid. That is what is petty, retarded and obnoxious.

Well I never meant for something like my thread to get out of control.

I was asking about seafoam to better understand what people thought of it. Like other treatments I have tried, my only hope was to try and take better care of my car like everyone here tries to do. Seafoam and many others may or may not work. it may harm my engine or it may not. I will take the risk like I have with other treatments. It is not like I am asking if orange juice is good to put in my oil, brake booster, gas tank ect. Nothing is wrong with the performance of my vette no but if there is a chance it will keep things cleaner why the hell not? If it doesn't then ohh well I spent 10 bucks and tried it. Thanks for all the reply's and I hope no ones feelings are hurt by others comments. I am sure everyone is not meaning to start a fight, just voicing their opinions like I asked. Have fun out there and be safe

Every winter when I put my Vette away for the winter, I put a can in the gas to keep the moisture down, keep the gas fresh, and to have a piece of mind that doing something is better than nothing. I like the stuff and will continue to use it.

I'm thinking of running the tank almost dry and fill up with a gallon every couple of weeks. That way, the gas is run out and fresh gas is put in.

Seafoam now has a spray. It comes with a long tube that you stick in the front of the throttle body blades instead of dumping it in the booster line.

I think spraying it in the throttle body would let it get to all the cylinders vs. dumping it in the rear of the intake via booster line. And since it is sprayed, it would be better atomized compared to sucking it in through a vac line.

Great. A better way to waste money

This year, I will be sending my injectors out for cleaning and testing. I will not be relying on snake oils to "keep it clean". I will have my injectors tested and KNOW they are working as right as I can make it. I don't want to take the lazy shortcuts and have to tell myself that all is well. While the injectors are out, I will clean the TB throughly and the plenum. I will also take bundled rags around a long screwdriver to wipe out my intake tracks.
