Tomorrow will put the ground on "V" terminal and will know for sure if its :

Bad starter enable relay or .... Bad VATS Module !

before you replace the module, did you verify that the "security" was not blinking when key was turned "on"? still could be key related.

mine does not, 91. read in owners manual or fsm that it blinks if the PASS key is not read. maybe someone can verify that for us.
mine is off in "ON" and start and run.

Yes, hopefully someone can test it for us !
I Got a new set of keys coming here anyway, hope they arrive soon

But i bypassed the starter enable relay and that made the engine crank
that's why i believed the starter enable relay was the faulty part.

Guys ....is there any way to test the starter enable relay ?

Behind the IP Panel,disconnect the starter relay and i connected a jumper between "E" (Yellow) and "A" (Dark Green/White line) connectors and engine cranks !
I read that somebody opened the relay , soldered something and made it work
Not sure if this is safe, i'd rather replace the relay, i don't want to cut the wires and put them together as well

No FSM for Corvette. I am a Mazda Rotary repair shop, doing this job as a favor.

I have tons of FSM's for Rotary cars though.

I may have an old Mitchell repair guide though, just thought of that. Pretty much the same as an FSM.

Thanks, found a Mitchell FSM for 91 GM cars. Wiring diagram shows starter enable relay and four wires, 2 Yellows, Black/Yellow stripe, and Yellow/Black stripe.

Is this located in the same spot on a 91 as the 87, and what wires would I jump. Both yellows go to ignition, Black/Yellow stripe goes to CCM, Yellow/Black stripe goes to clutch switch.

should conclude that it is NOT a VATS issue if fuel relay is on for the normal 2 secs.

"relay is energized when the ccm determines that all security conditions have been met."

not sure if yours has a CCM, don't think so.

I remind you that I am not the ECM/CCM expert!

I hate to ask: did you verify 12V at the purple wire leaving the neutral switch? If no voltage there WITH KEY TURNED TO START CK TERM E of the same switch, which is incoming yel/blk on 91.

No , didnt check it , but i think its good, i tried the selector on other than park
(while the starter relay was jumped) and it didnt start, plus its brand new
thanks
