Otherwise there has been a severe drop in Top End horsepower over my stock 1987 Bosch 1 injectors.

Before with stock 1987 GM L98 TPI factory issued Bosch 1 injectors,
top speed was 150 mph every single time.

Then I installed Jon's Bosch 3's.
No other changes were made.
Top speed dropped to 115 mph.

No GM multecs were installed in the 1985 to 1988 C4's.
BOSCH 1's were.

I brought most of the top end power back cranking up the FP @ WOT to 57 psi.

Its 57 psi.
The camera shot shows 58 psi............called a parallax error.
Camera shot is from a side angle instead of dead on.
Camera flash whited out shown gauge reading head on.
So I shot it from an angle.
picture came out OK then.

I'm having trouble believing this significant loss of power just from switching injectors (assuming the new injectors were the same size). I have been running Bosch 3s from Jon for several years. First ran 24# in my stock 85 TPI with no change in the tune. Then I installed a Super Ram and AFR 195s with a new tune. And now with 42# on my 396 Super Ram again with a new tune. I have always run within a few psi of the factory fuel pressure. I have no complaints and all the power I hoped for.

If you really feel the Bosch 3s are a problem, I bet Jon would be willing to do a bench test of your factory injectors compared to your Bosch 3s.

hey Brian evidently there are 1 of 3 problems with your 87.
!. there is something wrong with the car
2. there is something wrong with the injectors
3. there is something wrong with you.
your car won't go over 115mph at 43.5 fuel pressure? I don't believe that for one minute!!! So lets put it to the test. I have an hour of Dyno time reserved at Modern Muscle in Oswego. At 150mph it should not take you more than a half hour to get there. Ask for Brad 630 898 5933. When you get there they will set the FP at 43.5 and give you two pulls. He will also video for you and this forum. Then you can turn up the FP to 58 and get another pull. I am anxcious to see the difference. If it goes over 115 at 43.5 you pay for the dyno. If it does not we will fix the car for you so it does. Deal?

Brian I won't touch the second or third response 'cause...oh well never mind

Hell yeah free dyno useage. Go for it! Don't run that scanner you've got pictured, while your on the dyno, it can mess with the ECM durring the pulls.

- yeah man I did 154MPH on a totally dialed in stocker (yes with multechs) so it should be no problem for those Bosch 3s

Like this ot not I am going to say this. Brian if you are saying or indicating you are running anywhere close to these speeds on the road it is childish and dangerous. You are putting other people in harms was. I hope you are just trying to be some kind of braggered by saying all of this all the time and are not for real. Sorry I just do not like the implications you are saying. I am just tired of people getting hurt from the stuppidy of others.....

I really like when a vendor stands behind their product...

Jon is even offering to pay for the dyno time if the OPs claims turn out to be true. Basically difficult to rig the test if first pass is made with FIC injectors and they deliver as per the OP claims then swap to the originals and document results. I would like to see the results.

I do not use the B3's (as I have nothing anywhere close to stock), but would not hesitate to source really large injectors from Jon.

It will be interesting to see if this actually happens.

Now this is good stuff, and this might revive this forum.

Take the Challenge Brian. Also Kudos to Jon for the offer.

Yea, when Brian first came on this site he got his azz chewed from alot of the guys for making these statements about running 120 mph on the street. Looks like he didn't learn from his mistakes.....Most people on here don't want to hear that crap..I have 2 young daughters driving now, so you know Im not happy with it......I can't believe this thread hasn't been locked yet because of it......WW
