Edelbrock High Flow Intake Identification
I scored a used Edelbrock High Flow Intake baseplate off of craigslist for a good deal. Problem is I can't seem to identify which one it is and it is preventing me from getting heads ordered for project LowBuck383. The box says it's a 3861 but it appears to say 3860 on the bottom of the manifold. The 3860 says that it is machined for centerbolt head engines only, while the 3861 says its for aftermarket/early head engines. Any help is greatly appreciated! Lots of pics below:

That is the wrong box for that intake you've got pictured.
3861 is for pre 1985 cars w/o EGR
3860 is post 1985 with EGR
Your intake pictured is a 3860 since it has the EGR port in it....and it is stamped 3860 to boot.
If your going to keep the smog (EGR) stuff then you've got the correct lower intake.
