Thanks, I think it will end up being a super fun car.
He has done this conversion a couple of times. I think he has it down pat even has a big board for fabbing the wiring harness. Based on what I've seen from folks like Golen and some other LT1 builders this motor should get ~520hp at the crank, although about 100lbs heavier than an LS is hp competitive with those mills. The 4:10 rear diff should provide "lively" acceleration.
I'll post the dyno numbers when they come in.
With that gear ratio you shouldl be able to run enough cam to make that power level and still retain reasonable drivability.
Are those "Doug's" cutouts from Jegs? I had some of those on a CTSV and they worked great, until they didn't. Had one side fail so returned both and used cover pates. Love this build btw can't wait to see this thing running with the Holley setup

Dash hasn't been done yet, still running stock. I'm going to wait on that maybe do it this winter.

FYI I am finishing up a 1992 383 with ProCharger. Close to firing it up. I like the idea of using an aftermarket computer to run it (as you are doing).
Sounds great! People complain about MF systems and the drone/quality, but IMO it’s still the best sounding c4 muffler. Especially with long tubes and a healthy cam.
