The trans is out, I did lower the trans a little to get to the lower trans cooler line, Hopefully next week I will tear into it and find out what broke.

I fab up a cradle for the trans and started the teardown, I used an old broken portable stair stepper and cut it up and welded it for the cradle.

A guy i worked with years ago believed that auto transmissions did not use clutches, so i made fun of him by calling transmission fluid "magic sparkles/pixie blood".

I cut open the torque convertor and found the spline shaft that goes into the clutch inside the torque convertor broken, I am guessing that's what made a bang when the trans blew.

Here is a link to my latest test video of my trans rebuild I did over the winter, Hope everyone enjoys. The video does not really show how much better the trans shifts than when I first bought the C4 some time ago, I have to say I find myself manually shifting much more than before the rebuild.
