Default does anyone know... (wiring)

I am having trouble figuring out what wires are going to the plug on the shifter (auto). It is a 6 wire flat connector, labeled a b c d e f. i would think one of them is for the reverse lights, maybe one for the computer ffor lock up? not sure on this....can anyone give me a hand? A wiring diagram would be helpful ;) ......TIA

Hey my 85 diagram is not very user friendly. Could you give me the colors associated with the plugs and I will try to check on the diagram.

Is E dark green with a white stripe and F yellow ?????

Let me know.... Jim

b= orange with black stripe

According to an 88 wiring diagram on an auto the DK BLU goes from the backup fuse to the transmission position switch and the LT GRN goes from the position switch to the backup lights.

Pin A is the black with white stripe and goes to ground at splice S212.
Pin B is the orange with black stripe and goes to the ECM pin B10. A and B make when in Park or Neutral. Not used in manuals.

Pin C is dark blue and goes to the TURN/BU fuse as said by hngacurv.
Pin D is lite green and goes to the lights as said by hngacurv. C and D make when in Reverse. These will need to be wired in to the 2 cavity connector (12015378) that will plug into your new 4+3s backup switch.

Pin E is drk green with white stripe and goes to pin A of the Start Enable Relay.
Pin F was I thought purple not yellow, but it should go to the S terminal on the solenoid and to the Cold Start Injector system through splice S206. E and F make when in Park or Neutral. These will need to go to the Clutch Switch so the starter will only run when the clutch pedal is depressed or you can connect them together and lose the safety feature. But ring this one out first, because of the color mixup, I can't be sure on this one.

I concur. Wire F is yellow on my schematic.

Let me know if you need a copy.
