Well I got the fuel rails sold and ordered some Aeromotive rails. My 18x10.5" Z06 wheels will be here tuesday so I can get them powdercoated and MT mounted. I will be finishing my copper gaskets for my APS turbine housings tomorrow and going to pick up some new hardware for said housings. While I had the car down, Im going to have my valve covers powercoated because the paint just isn't very durable.
Also, I will be adding -10an breather lines to each valve cover to go into a vented catch can. I have the drivers side cover fitting in it, but had to drill the passenger side cover for a fitting.
Not to mention that I still have to put the new LS2 oil pan on and measure for some K&N filters with the new space that the pan allows.
Good deal. Just mounted my MTs today and prepped everything for the motor install tomorrow. Need to pull the clutch pedal out so I can mount the tick master also.

Oh I'm very serious, and the bulk of the build is already completed. Going to start out with a ZR1 diff on the glide for now, then I'm working on mounting an IRS nine inch to it so I can consistently cut 1.1x 60' times, and keep my nice ride for the street. (that will take a while though)

Should be a badass build.. I've still got Austins Glide kit sitting in his car.. maybe I should put it in my car while I'm waiting on my new transmission and rear end from RPM.
Well after basically taking a year off from drag racing, (new baby-busy business-bla bla) it's time to come back with a bang. So it looks like 2011's mods to my vert will be;
Upgrade power glide main shaft for ZR1 diff and cradle
RHS 427
Callies Magnum crank
R&R aluminum rods
Diamond pistons
Mast heads
Jesel rockers and 9.04 lifters
ARE 4 stage dry sump
A1000 boost controller
And for the power adder, twin cogged NOVI 2500's.
I'll post up some pics of the set up when I have it in the car.
That should keep me happy for a while, and yes, I'll still drive it oln the street.

See if you can get the tensioner opened up just a little more, you want it to be almost completely opened at rest.(not over pressured on the stop though!) Take the tensioner tool and open it all the way by hand, so you know how much farther to go. The right side of the tensioner, looking at your picture, will be right about vertical at it's fully opened position. Good luck with it!
thanks for the tip Doug,i will call you very soon to order torque tube bearing

Well.....I had to order $270 worth of fittings and line for the new fuel rails and the catch can/crankcase breather plumbing. Don't get this confused with bitching, because I'm not, I just want to keep the thread updated with my progress and say that Jeg's is really proud of their AN fittings hahaha
Hopefully, buy weeks end I will have pics posted with just about everything buttoned up. Its just a waiting game for me now.
A little off topic...winter project for me consists of something a little different...1988 trans am GTA stripped(2800lb goal) with a built LQ9. compstar crank, callies rods, mahle pistons, ecs blower cam, flowed 317 heads, lingenfelter manifold with 90mm TB, twin precision billet 6765's on sw manifolds(shooting for 14psi due to heads), vette fmic, moser m9 rear, 200-4r,art carr converter...the zo6 will be staying how it is for right now N/A
Trying to get my ACT twin to work properly, as it has decided to not disengage all the way. Once that's fixed, fuel rails, return-style regulator and bigger fuel pump go in.
Update:
Clutch fixed.
Meth system not working and I'm glad I didn't blow my engine up. 'Noticed brief sputtering at high RPM and shut it down. So...
Guys, do we have a consensus in the idea that it's much more fun to work on your car when you're increasing the "toy" factor and increasing performance in some way rather than fixing stuff that broke? I know that's the way I feel.

I totally agree, but I hardly get to do anything with mine during the semester of school. I'm actually having a blast just fixing/upgrading things. So I'll answer saying that I enjoy working on it, but it's soooo much more fun when you know ita gonna be faster when it's done.

It's even more fun when you know exactly what's wrong with it. In my case, I pulled a bolt out of the alky pump...
Pwned by corrosion, but an easy pump fix. Paging Julio....
