mms
It sounds to me like some people had serious problems with the service side of the shop, while other people are just overly melodramatic and were not prepared for the level of modification to their car they were purchasing (cough Bruce cough).
If I were to have been in charge of the shop the main problem that I think I would have addressed was consistency on the service side. When Mike was doing R&D/Sales and Derek was running the shop, there were very few problems. Once the new mechanics (especially Joe) started rolling in, that appears to be when most of these problems started, from my point of view.
In summary from a die hard enthusiasts point of view Morgan is a great guy to work with, and there is no one else I'd rather have tune my car. I think the service side just got a bit too big and wasn't properly supervised.
I'm always looking to buy parts for projects so if anyone is really throwing away these "junk" parts be sure to drop me an email.
Quality was Nonexsistent.

Now that doesn't take away from the guy who said he paid for new rollers and didn't receive them, or the guy that spun a bearing in his new C5R engine block. Those are/were serious service issues IMHO.
Your recollection of my MMS experience is amazing, and very selective I might add.
And yes, incorrect...........("again").

Don't get me going Terry, this is brinig up bad memories.
No, it is not easy, and that is why Morgan could never do it. Heck, the easy jobs were hard enough for him to do without messing up.
Pistons at $575? Heck, I wish that was all I had spent with him.
No, I let Morgan talk me into buying a $4,500 shortblock, with a set of $900 forged pistons. And they sold me on the 300 shot idea. I guess they wanted to have the dyno numbers so he could post it on his web site. (Which they did.)
So far, all the money I gave them, I have spent again fixing their mistakes.
enough said.....
Peace!
Bruce

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Lack of business, education, ethical and personal skills are Mike's own fault.

He started this thing and hasn't been back!
Hope we answered your question.
Well, it's been fun reminiscing about the bad old days.
We all have our new directions and we are the wiser.
Such is life...good luck to us!

Take care all....
Take care all....
I'll tell ya though, a learning experience it was. I will never trust anyone's advice on the internet about a shop. I gotta see it all with my own eyes before I put down a non-refundable deposit. I got suckered in by both Cheerleaders, and what I think were other suckers that were posting while their cars were at the shop, to be nice in hopes they got their car back in working order.
Money under the bridge....

I dunno Bruce, by my count half of the replies are from you.
Terry,
When are you going to stop defending MMS. I think the only reason you do it is because you had something to do with the programming Mike used to tune with..Mike should be suing you...maybe all the blown up cars are really your fault.
I guess I dislike being called a liar.

PS. Bruce, I didn't call you a liar, just a melodramatic guy caught up in a world you've created in your head.

I have been in business for 23 years now. Believe me when I inform you that I have better things to do with my time than try to convince you that MMS messed up my car. You may be beyond the point of no return.
You may have caught a rare mms virus or something.
But, a cure is in sight, I have heard that good tour in Iraq or Afganistan can help this.
Honestly, I have friends who are fighting and dying defending our freedom in Iraq and Afganistan right now. They are in my prayers now.
And this subject has lost what little importance it once had.
Support our Troops.
