Carjacking
Thinking back (hindsight is a wonderful thing!) these guys drove thru the parking lot when I first got there, drove right past me. Parked next to me while I was in the store. If I was paying attention I would have put 2+2 together, maybe. What if this was my wife? I'd be freaking!
I guess what I'm trying to say is what I told my wife. If someone is parked near you (we always park away from everybody) walk around and see if you can see someone in the other vehicle. If you don't feel comfortable, go back in the store and ask for an escort. I think I got lucky today, be careful out there my friends . Thanks for letting me get this off my chest
Wow - don't know what to say...

You are a Very Lucky guy........this same situation in New York might have had a different ending. I probably would have given up my keys. There are a lot of sick people out there.
This hits very close to home. I had a very good friend, a family practice physician, get himself shot after reacting the same way.
He was on his way back to his Mercedes from a night club and was confronted by a thug who demanded his keys and his Rolex watch.
His words: F$%K you, I'm not giving you S#!+.
He was shot 3 times. Once in the belly, once in the femur, once in the chest. A 4th shot hit the side view mirror of the Benz. His girth, he was around 350 to 375 lbs, at the time, saved him.
The one shot to the femur fractured the bone and he is in one of those scooters you see advertised on TV today. That was 7 yrs ago. I recall his rehab being long and hard.
I vowed then that if ever robbed at gunpoint, that whatever I had, I would give up. Not worth getting murdered over.
Thank God you're OK. But that was not a smart move.

Had he been armed, would it have done him much good. Drawing on a drawn gun?? Given a choice between drawing on a drawn gun or giving up the keys, he'd have been better off giving up his keys.

You are lucky the car jacker had one brain cell more than the average car jacker and didn't shoot you.
RaginCajun, the car jackers didnt take his car " now I'm screaming at them, braver I guess cause I didn't get shot(and I still have my car)!"
I woulda handed my keys over in 2 seconds. I know you all will think im crazy, but ANY car is a box on 4 wheels at the end of the day (a peice of machinery). not worth ur life.
