Push Button Start???

so, you suggest mounting the start button on the floor???

He was talking about what we used to have years ago.. in the 50's.. many trucks I know had floor mounted starters next to the gas pedal... You would push that pedal to start it while also pushing the gas pedal to give it gas... oh yeah.. and we used a HAND choke as well... It was a **** on the dash that you pulled to close the choke on the carb...
The biggest problem was that you could never take it anywhere to get a $250-$400 tune on some Dyno thing...

so, you suggest mounting the start button on the floor???

It was there once already.... does anybody else remember the old cars of the 20s and early 30s..... key on, (for those with keys) or ignition switch to on, ignition retard lever to retard the spark, throttle lever to about 1/4 - 1/2 travel, pull the choke and press the starter botton on the floor. Cross fingers in hopes that the 6 volt battery was going to turn the engine over fast enough to start.
Yes, we really were there once in automotive history.

If you wanted to avoid the key completely, that would be more difficult, involve at least one more switch (ignition on/off/acc), and you'd also have to bypass the VATS (key pellet resistor) system...but still not impossible.
You car would be so incredibly easy to steal though, I would absolutely not recommend doing this, and even though I could figure out how to do it, wouldn't share that info.

) Thanks everyone for entertaining my idea and lending some good info along the way... -Joe
P.S. Folding Key Fob it is!!!
