Come on, that is a clean car. I see you guys give thumbs up to the some of the tackiest mods I have seen. Give the guy a break.

I have no problems with any coupe with Z06 air ducts that serve a purpose. Be proud of what you have. What purpose can sticking on the fake ducts and putting Z06 badges on a car serve other than to deceive people. To me that is just posing. In my mind this has nothing to do with the mods being "tacky" but everything to do with simple outright lies.

I say he should do what he wants with his car. It may be "fake", but it's better looking than any real Z06 to me because I think the FRC body is .

Would I do it? No. The only Z06 exterior add-on I like is screens. But it's his car, and at least it doesn't have a bunch of tacky halfway-to-Corvette-Summer stuff on it.

I say to him, have fun brother.

Sorry but I couldn't disagree with you more. Yes a Z06 is a Corvette but I'm sorry, a coupe is not a Z06. It's not a Corvette with Corvette badges. It's a Coupe with Z06 badges and that is just embarrassing. If you want to do something put LS1 badges on. I could even live with the fake brake ducts in that case. I like the look of Z06 ducts but I don't have them because I can't bring myself to cut the holes in my car. I wouldn't put the stick on ones on but hey, it's your car. The ONLY problem I have with this is the Z06 badge, the rest is just taste and I don't really care since it's not my car.

I give this a big ... W h a t e v e r ... As long as they are not trying to pass car off on a re-sale as a true "Z06", then he/she is free to do whatever cranks their motor. If they like it ... well that's . Any of us that know C5's, know right off the top that all that stuff is just window dressing. Who knows ... maybe they dropped the Z06 motor in there too

But on the other hand, I suppose that we are all free to give our opinions too. But to me ... Whatever ...

I really wonder if anybody that doesn't drive a Vette actually knows how bogus that is. And that's what this guy is banking on...

I can see the seat covers, and even the fake brake ducts, but the Z06 badges are just too much.

Whoever ownes the car has modified it to please themselves...most likely could give a rats *** about what everyone else thinks...

And that is just fine...

Honestly I do not think he is trying to fool anyone into even thinking this is a coupe version of a Z06... Well maybe somebodys Grandmother may
think it is but who cares...

What bugs the crap out of me is why anyone would buy a Corvette with an Automatic Tranny...

...who are they trying to fool...? They think they got a Sports Car?

Seriously whatever floats YOUR Boat or works for YOU is perfectly fine with me...as long as its not pink with a Mary Kay sticker on the rear end...

Just my opinion...

BTW: the 79 is an automatic, sometimes I need a help floating..!

And then...maybe it was like that when he bought it at a super deal price. Maybe he didn't get chance to take the fake stuff off yet, or maybe he's afraid he'll do damage trying to remove them. Maybe the car's modded to out perform a Z06. Without asking the owner "what were you thinking?", I guess we'll never know for sure.

Personally I think the brake ducts are hideous and would never think of putting them on my car, functional or otherwise. In fact, if I had a Z06 that had them, I'd be thinking about removing them and doing something like EvilTwin did. Now those are some brake ducts, and on a coupe too no less!

I bought my 2000 convertible with the Z06 screens on the front. I was at the C5/C6 bash with my 'it, too. I sure hope you guys dont "C5/C6 Bash" me.

I added the red fuel rail covers that I bought off of eBay. OoooooH! I'm scared the Z06 Police might give me a ticket!

I am considering the 2006 Z06 wheels. Maybe I should just turn in my NCM membership.

Grow up, people!

I will be at the Cruise-in with said car, please don't throw eggs at me.
