It is not something I would do, but to each his own. If he likes it and it puts a smile on his face, isn't that what it is all about?

Why try to make a car something its not?

I guess you can fake it until you make it...

I have Z06 wheels on my car. They were a gift from my brother-in-law and came off his 50th anniversary car. Only had a hundred miles on them.(he put chromies on his) I love how they make the car handle and the look is much better. Would I have done it if they weren't free maybe not, but just the fact he was kind enough to give them to me makes them have more value to me.

Whoever said its the "domestic equivalent of Type R stickers on ricers" hit the nail on the head! Ugh, Corvette rice.

Only thing worse than that is painting the front fascia of your car to make it look like it has a tiger shark nose on it.

A matter of personal taste is "stupid"? Well, maybe so, but in that case so is the first post in this thread because it's exactly the same thing.

All a car has to be is what the owner wants, nothing more nothing less.

Some people put more value on their opinion, then what it is really worth. Me included.

I wouldn’t do that to my baby, but I don’t think it looks that bad. If it makes the owner happy….it’s his car and his cash.

That doesn't have NJ plates does it?? I ran across a Red Coupe about 4 years back at Atco that had the rear brake vents and ZO6 badges on it. At the time I wasn't too keen to the variances of the models but knew something was up when I walked away from the guy on the track in my BOLT ON 93 Trans Am. I did a 13.3 to his 13.8. He did however mention that his was NOT a ZO6. Yes, I feel stupid admitting that in my younger day I didn't know all the differences.

If you can afford a Z06, why would you cut the HT off to make it look like a coupe? Man, that musta cost a bunch of money!
