Sure, but it looks like a PIA to install. Did you look at the instructions? For as often as I refuel (once every week or 10 days), I'd rather just flip open the console and push the button!
What could have been engineered and marketed smarter on the C5
- The fuel door button should have been next to the trunk release and fog light switches.
- The cup holder should have opened with dual opposing doors, which would cradle your drink during turns in either direction.
- Ashtray with lighter should have been an insert that could be removed for non-smokers, so you could store your sunglasses inside.
- Auto-dimming mirror sensor, should be positioned higher. The lower edge of the convertible rear window shadows it. Headlights from behind have to be high up for the sensor to dim the mirrors. That means it doesn't dim until the cars from behind are on your tail.
- When no passenger, the metal passenger seat belt clip flops around, vibrating on the plastic door threshold trim.
- Better sound deadening over-all. Too much road noise from stock tires.
- Better quality floormats. My Chevy Aveo mats are better quality.
- Premature seat track wear causing seat to rock forward and backward
- Convertibles need a 2 minute power window "Always On" feature while putting up the top, canceling once security is activated.
- 4 Jacking pucks should be included with every C5 as part of a road-side emergency kit.
- A stylish sport steering wheel like the newer Celica has. Did you ever see the stock Celica steering wheel? You wonder how they got the airbag tucked in there. It's very cool. The C5 "Pillow" wheel greatly lacks styling. GM was asleep at the wheel.
- Super thick doors, but no door storage. Whats with that?
- Piston slap should not be a topic of discussion for any car. How hard can it be to make a quiet engine consistently? GM is loosing many customers over that one. I know many people, former GM owners who won't consider another GM from that issued alone, experienced across many different GM models.
Lots of improvement suggestions for GM that could have been implemented at little or no additional cost, but I still love the car.
