Oh yeah, an Auto is quicker than a Stick,
and there's more performance.
People who think that are also concerned about cup holders.
Anyone who eats or drinks in a Corvette should be shot.
More performance with auto's?
That's why Chevy puts auto's in Z06's,
That's why the C5R and C6R have auto's,
That's why NASCAR has auto's,
That's why Pro Stock's run auto's,
That's why........

I never drink or eat in my Vette but I could if I wanted to and still beat stock Vettes including ZO6's with my Auto.

I'm shopping for a C5 right now and although I've always has stick in my toy/performance cars this time I want an auto. If the perfect car for me came along and had a manual I would take it but not really what I'm after for this one.

On a road course I have beaten...Ferraris, Porsche Turbos, Vettes (including the C6 Z06), Vipers, etc. in my lowly A4. Never once, in all the times I have run the track, has anyone ever made a negative comment about my tranny. The only place I see this condescending attitude is here on the Corvette Forum.

I have a stock motor, 3.73 gears and Vig 3200 converter I am not afraid of a stock 6spd

I'm the last guy to join into this Mn6 vs A4 war... I just got the 3.42 in my A4, got my shift points adjusted. I've driven both as well...Love em all but I'll still take my 3.90 A4 over the sticks I'll be running away from 
Honestly, most of the M6 guys here on the forum can shift their cars well I'm sure. The vast majority of Vette/mustang/Camaro etc.. owners can't, I drove with one a couple weeks ago. I'd clean his clock in a drag race with my stock (for a few weeks yet) A4.
