What an AMAZING daily p/u truck!!! Surprised you didn't step up to a 2.8 KB.... with a little spray, that's going to be an even more insane ride than your Vette.

Yeah, speaking of "EG".... perhaps we can arrange a MOD PARTY with ZEEEOHHSIXX??? I'd say let's do it at my place, but clearly I don't have enough tools here!

The 2.6L is the biggest they make for the Lightning so far but that is the reason I have this

I have a full Pro Turbo Systems turbo kit for the truck as well sitting in my garage

On the topic of Mod party if any of you guys need a hand with something and are fairly local to me id be more than happy to give you a hand with it.

Im having a thought here, that being that im thinking of doing rear flares instead of my LPE Mini Tub thus resulting in my car looking like this

O/T briefly..... That turbo setup would be soooo SICK on the "truck", though I can't imagine you'll get much more power compared to the KB setup?

As for the flares.... It reminds me a little of the current Z06, but it's kinda hard to tell the true effect without a picture from the rear (set a little ways back). Are the flares 'glassed in, or are they complete rear quarter panels? Do you have a weblink to the supplier?

I think it would look pretty awesome, provided the overall look comes across like "factory on STEROIDS"!!!! Hahahaaaa

How's the motor situation? What else have you been up to? I'm sure there isn't a night that goes by without some kind of progress.

The flares are bolt on complete rear quarters actually from maxacc.com

Just waiting for the block to come back from the machine shop so it can get put back tpogether, Headers are in, clutch is in, Cam is in <---

Newest addition to the list is a Master Lube setup at the suggestion of my engine builder to ensure safe oiling at high rpms if oil cavitation should occur.

Im going to be installing the Pfadt Chassis bar in the next week or so and finish putting the interior in and get ther car 100% ready for street duty when the motor is done

I had a chance to checkout the website on those flares..... You *HAVE TO* install them!!!! They looks absolutely factory & SICK. I liked them so much, I'm going to check with my bodyshop guy to find out what the cost would be to paint.

I HATE YOU for leading me down another modification path!!!!

If you have a chance, be sure to post up some pix as you continue progressing. I know I'm excited for ya..... You must be out of your mind with anticipation!!!! hahahaa

Just a heads up if you put these flares on and run bigger tires you are sandblast the rear fender and facia unless you add some Z06 rear fender flares (black plastic).

That's why I went with ACP's Z11 Body kit. Notice rear lip on fenders covers the tire.

Please don't take any offense ajg1915, but I'm not too crazy about your set.

I really like how the others look "factory". I totally agree with your comment about the "sandblasting" effect.... Heck, I get that with 305 DR's on 10.5 wide rims.

Thanks for the link.

Its under construction, give it time im sure when its done you may have a different opinion. Its not my style personally but I give credit where credit is due and the finished car looks f'n sweet. 315s up front and 345s in the back will be awesome!! You figure out what wheels your going to run?

I'm not taking any offense, to each their own. It would be a pretty boring world if everybody looked the same and dressed alike.

I just wanted others to be aware of the pitfalls of wider tires with fender flares that don't reach around the whole tire.
