"ETP", I'm not familiar with these heads.... Got any details & a link to the source? Mighty BIG lookin' exhaust ports!!! LoL

We're going with AFR 205's (66cc) on my 346/7, I've been following AFR for some time now and LOVE their product. Even with some issues, they've stood behind their products & customers.

^ Wow... a few questions:

1. What heads are those? (I'm guessing ETP LS7 style)
2. What rockers are those?
3. What intake mani will you run?
4. Why's it say 6.0L cast into the block but say LS7 too?

Nice looking setup

The heads are ET LS7s

The rockers are Jesels

Im running a sheetmetal intake with a 100mm Throttlebody

The 6L stamp is on the block and the LS7 stamp is on the heads. The build specs are 4.125 bore with 4.180 stroke with a final compression ratio of 11.73:1

11.73...... Are you thinking about a little "spray" to go along with this combo? Have you selected a cam, if so what're your specs? This thing's just screaming for a nice, lumpy cam. Have fun with the final assembly/install.

Can't wait for the startup video!!!

Ahhh... now it all makes sense... you're running a re-sleaved LS2 block w/ a huge stroke. Not a re-worked LS7 block.

Not to burst your bubble but anything over a 4.00" stroke leads to a good bit more oil consumption. When the piston gets way low in the bore the piston/rod angle is quite extreme and on the upstroke there is a large amount of side pressure on the piston to the bore. The piston is also less stable b/c it's out below the sleeve. The piston wobbles more and eventually ovates the cylinder bore and degrades the rings more.

Poke around on www.ls1tech.com/forums... the motor looks kickass but you'll need more frequent rebuilds w/ that kind of stroke.

Did Mike Norris recommend it?

Little condescending Cobra but its cool, rebuilding doesn't bother me. I'm gonna beat this thing like it owes me money I fully intend to get it freshened up when needed.

Dont know who Mike Norris is by the way

Sorry got my Mike's confused.... Norris is a tuner in Florida. I know you spent a bunch of money on that motor... and I just am curious why you'd spend it on something that can't run 10-20k w/o having serious work done on it. I mean I can see swapping springs annually, but to tear it all down and have to re-hone seems crazy.

FWIW I base all this on all the stroker guys on ls1tech bitching about oil consumption and cylinder bore ovation w/ super strokers.

I dont plan on owning the motor for that long, I dont want to say I get bored of stuff fast because I always have a kick *** time with my stuff, the mod bug just bites me really hard and I get a new idea in my head and I go with it...always. I want to do an LSX motor when I get back from school.

My garage is empty! The vette made a successful early morning trip to Rapid where is will stay the next week or two. Motor made its way out today aswell and all the motor killer turned out to be a broken valvespring which dropped the valve and shattered #7 piston. Ill get the pics up later

The only time you see one of my cars on a trailer is if its broken or being stolen

Got these aswell on friday, 18 X 12 Repro wheels which get dropped off the to powdercoaters on tuesday. I also got a set of 335 Pilot Sports to mount on them when I take the car the Atlanta with me.
