Thank you. You and a few others on this thread have given me hope that not every Corvette owner is a myopic a$$.

Agreed! jbauch357's post showed that at least there are a few of us who love our Vettes, but can still appreciate other nice cars and not resort to flaming at the mere mention of any non-Corvette.

What's the shocker? Those are devil horns being bitten by a devil mouth. I forgot to take down my halloween avatar...

Though I think it's a masculine devil, not a feminine devil.

Thanks for reminding me.

STi is also a good car for people who are my height (6'7) and would like to actually track their car (requiring a helmet.)

How does your hand gesture look like devil horns? I was not talking about the devil being masculine, I was talking about the feminine features that the hand had that was inside the devil mouth. Lol, you say that you are (6'7)? I guess I am (7'2) and 350 pounds of pure muscle just like every other internet warrior. Get a life. Oh and you track you car? Wow, that takes a bad azz to be able to track their car.....

Is this a fair comparison? I said no...because a professional driver in an automatic or the MN6 would make all the difference, all other things being equal. Am I wrong?
I found one!!

This thread took some interesting turns. I don't have numbers but from 55 mph I spanked one driving an automatic. If two vehicles have similar numbers then its the driver that makes it or breaks it. $.02

At 6'7, there's no getting in a C5 and wearing a helmet with the roof on at the same time.

Devil horns - do a google image search.

But since you have nothing intelligent to add to the thread, please refrain from posting further.

Well I don't go to the WRX, Porsche, Miata, Supra, etc websites and try and slam their cars, why does it seem people always want to dog on the Corvette. KALE your profile says you have an 04 lemans edition vette I'm assuming a you have a Z06 as you were ******* other vette owners for faking their vettes into Z06's, It doesn't say anything about you having an STI. I have the rear sidescoops fully functional but no ther Z06 parts other than sway bars so I must be faking a Z06 too. Trust me if I wanted a Z06 I would have one but then I'd have to cut the top off so then I'd be faking a convertible. The STI and Vette are both performance cars and have their pro's and con's "But I can't seem to find any cons in my vette" HA HA, but they are for completely different objectives, and they both have concessions to make them appeal to the masses.....

But the vette still kicks A**

Read more carfully bro, wasn't ******* people who make their coupes and verts look like Z06s, just pointing out that's a common thing to do, and the common counterpart to the WRX group's appearance mods.

Dude, that symbol is the SHOCKER!! not devil horns. It means 2 in the pink and 1 in the stink. Not "devil horns". Something you would not know about since you dont get any from women.
Do a google search for the shocker

You have nothing intelligent to add to the thread but you seem to keep posting. Why dont you sell your vette and buy a WRX since you love to swing off its jewels so much.

There hasn't been much of anything intelligent posted in this thread.

It's time for the lock down

I have a WRX in addition to my Vette, are you actually reading, or just waiting for the next opportunity to open your mouth and look foolish?

While some/most of you were all ranting and pissing on each others corn flakes. Did any of you notice this joker that started the thread has never posted back into it...

Hmmm... ask Vette guys why *any* car is not better than a Vette. Then stand back and watch the entertainment

I have an 02 Z06 and love it. I would also gladly own an STi and many other non-Vette cars out there. Whenever I go to AX or Track events I try and keep a low profile about discussing what I drive. Too many people have a bad opinion of Corvette owners. It's no wonder why.

Yeah, I was wondering where he went. We probably scared him off.

Cars I can think of that are less expensive (2001 had a sticker of around $50k) and as fast or faster than a C5:

The pocket rocket Lotus Elise
WRX STI
EVO 9, 10, 11...what number are they on now??
LS2 GTO
In 2001, the F-bodies (Trans AM and Z28 were nearly identical in acceleration).
2003 Mustang Cobra
2006 Shelby Mustang FR500

There might be more but I can't think of them. I like the look of the C5 over most of the other above listed cars. I also consider the C5 to be more of a GT (Grand Touring) car than any of the above listed vehicles, other than maybe the GTO. Never been in one of those but I imagine it is pretty comfortable and quiet. I also love the gas mileage of the C5 - odd I know, but it is my daily driver and I'm financially stretched with our mortgage so every little bit helps.

Kale, that does look like the shocker rather than devil horns. The middle finger on the hand appears extended (indicating the shocker) rather than folded down (indicating devil horns). Either way, pretty 'dark' avatar.
