Getting old SUCKS!!!!
John

Luckily I have been exercising since my mid 20's and hope to keep that going. I hear you on aches and pains as I have a few more that seem to crop up every few years. Knees, elbows have some ache in them from time to time..
I just use the "pain is a weakness leaving the body" saying and move one.
Just try to enjoy life a little more each day.
It's a great life if you live through it!

Because of on the job injuries I've been on 100% disability for the past 7 years. But this is not a poor, poor pitiful me post. I tell myself that no matter how bad things are, there are many many people out there that have it much worse.
PS one good thing - my insurance is only $234.00 for 6 mo's for my 02 - so i guess the above is all worth it

If it smells bad when you go in, don't go there.
There's a lot more not being attended to if that place cannot even keep up with sanitation.
I went against that advice once .. went to work at a place and was just overwhelmed with a place that tried to pack 12-14hrs of care that needed to be done into every 8 hour shift.. too many patients, not enough caregivers.. I gave it my best shot but there just was no way I could do all that needed to be done, frustration was the 'norm.'
Life's too short, I found a better place to work.
On getting old: I didn't even solo until I was 43.
Last aircraft I flew was a TF-51D ..'Crazy Horse' ..out of Kissimee, Fla.
*That* was a dream come true and the best hour I have spent with a machine on this planet
1750 piston engine horses, 5 tons of airplane, and NO speed limits up where we were ..what's not to like?

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming... WOW, what a ride!!!' "
It's been a hell of a ride and it's not over yet. Having said that, when it is my turn for a dirt nap, don't ever think I have been short changed. It's all good, enjoy every minute of it!
.....but I really haven't let all of that slow me down. In my mind I still have the desire to m-o-v-e. I think when I lose that desire, the rest of me will slow down. I have grand kids that can't keep up with me. AGE??? It all seems to go away when I hit 3rd gear and go 'back in time' as my license plate reads. I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm good once as I ever was!
