Exercise plenty, keep your weight down, stay busy with that Corvette and hobbies, and you will never feel old. In my case it helps teaching HS, I'm mentally just as juvenile as my students!

Hit they 1/2 century mark this year. One things for sure.. I'm not LOSING any hair. It may be moving to other places..but it's not leaving!

Luckily I have been exercising since my mid 20's and hope to keep that going. I hear you on aches and pains as I have a few more that seem to crop up every few years. Knees, elbows have some ache in them from time to time..

I just use the "pain is a weakness leaving the body" saying and move one.

Just try to enjoy life a little more each day.

It's a great life if you live through it!

Default Your "OLD" for your age!!

Man o' man, I'm 68 and don't feel anywhere as "old" as you describe. I feel great, been retired for 13 years, travel in my motorhome or corvette, hike the mountains and love everyday. Old, what the hell is this "old" stuff?

What is the best part of my day? Waking up! I always tell people had I known I was going to live this long I would have taken care of my body during my youth.

Because of on the job injuries I've been on 100% disability for the past 7 years. But this is not a poor, poor pitiful me post. I tell myself that no matter how bad things are, there are many many people out there that have it much worse.

@ 52 and 2 back surgeries, both knees, and cataracts in both eyes fixed I am almost as old as I feel. However, I feel damn good when driving around town in my Vette. Should have bought one years ago. I feel 80 getting in, 20 while driving, and 80 + when getting out – but I smile all the time cuz I drive a sweet vette. Life is good

And you can buy a CD with all your favorites, for the same price as a blank disk.

Get over it!!! It is what it is, at least be happy that you are getting laid. Many women in their 50's don't want anything to do with sex. I have back pain and hate the cold weather but I live by this motto: To hell with leaving a lot of money to the kids, I'm going to enjoy MY money while I'm still here to do so. I'm almost 56 and a combat veteran, only from the wrong war (Vietnam). Spent 20 years in the millitary and love the monthly love letter. Go find a young piece of azz and smile.

If getting old sucks, then just die. Then I don't have to read through all this BS.

Just a note on Nursing Homes that I learned from my Instructor long ago:

If it smells bad when you go in, don't go there.
There's a lot more not being attended to if that place cannot even keep up with sanitation.

I went against that advice once .. went to work at a place and was just overwhelmed with a place that tried to pack 12-14hrs of care that needed to be done into every 8 hour shift.. too many patients, not enough caregivers.. I gave it my best shot but there just was no way I could do all that needed to be done, frustration was the 'norm.'

Life's too short, I found a better place to work.

On getting old: I didn't even solo until I was 43.
Last aircraft I flew was a TF-51D ..'Crazy Horse' ..out of Kissimee, Fla.
*That* was a dream come true and the best hour I have spent with a machine on this planet
1750 piston engine horses, 5 tons of airplane, and NO speed limits up where we were ..what's not to like?

You don't stop driving the Corvette because you get old, you get old because you stop driving the Corvette! Party on, Garth!

I'm 56, single, retired, have three Vettes and a few girlfriends. My friends tell everyone that I need adult supervision. My favorite saying is:

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming... WOW, what a ride!!!' "

It's been a hell of a ride and it's not over yet. Having said that, when it is my turn for a dirt nap, don't ever think I have been short changed. It's all good, enjoy every minute of it!

Soon 62 and retired10 years. Lost one-half of my heart, lost some of my hair, lost my 36" waist, and gained some additional pounds (go figure) .....but I really haven't let all of that slow me down. In my mind I still have the desire to m-o-v-e. I think when I lose that desire, the rest of me will slow down. I have grand kids that can't keep up with me. AGE??? It all seems to go away when I hit 3rd gear and go 'back in time' as my license plate reads.

I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm good once as I ever was!
