even if the current owner does not want to sell the car, I am sure that he would be willing to send you some pics of it. I can't speak for most people but if I was in that situation where someone had a story like yours and told me that this was the last vette that you dad rode in before he passed, even though I would not sell mine I would send some pics and be very understanding and more than likely take you out for a ride in it. Hell I would let you drive it too. Some people really don't understand how important cars are to some people. Lots of memories are made in cars. I wish I was rich so I could keep all of my cars. I would never sell any of my cars if it was up to me

Perhaps even if the current owner does not wish to sell he will at least communicate with me, or maybe he will sell later. Ahhh memories.
Well guess what? I have been fooling around with a real estate program that uses satelite photos on the area in Wisconsin that the 99 FRC was last known to be registered in (the area has a population a little over 5000) and low and behold what do I see, a Nassau blue hard top sitting in a driveway just waiting for me. I know I know it could be another blue Corvette, or the car could be a visitor, but how many blue hard tops can there be in a town that small? At least I have a probable address to compare with other information that I have. Getting closer indeed.

Good thing you possibly found it that way ......As I remember there is a retired LEO in Illinois (Drew Pe_ _ _rson) that retired early rather than going Thu an internal investigation ........something about using the system to check on his missing wife's friends....

All the information obtain by me so far has been perfectly legal and I have not used or misused my authority as a LEO in any way shape or form. Thanks to the suggestions and help made by some that got me looking and thinking in different areas, I have not only learned some new things but have reached my goal of being able to contact the current owner. To the members of the forum.....
I have been watching this thread hoping that you will find your car. A friend of mine had a 93 anniversary vert & sold it. 2 weeks later he wanted it back & couldn't buy it back so he found another with the exact same options. I know this is not what you want but it might be better than finding your old car that has been trashed. BTW Nassau blue..........what a ugly color. Why would anyone want that??????

You are correct, the owner may very well not want to sell, in which case I will have to switch to plan b. In response to your question about Nassau Blue........ well what can I say........ I guess we are both just sick puppies.
