What does SSAC stand for? If it's SS Autochrome I think I will pass. All their products are junky knock offs.

They're trying to turn that around with the Vette Headers. The material and welding are top notch but their development was lacking. EFI Alchemy is involved now to fix that... Now if they could just speed things up!

Interesting.

I come from the Honda world before this and I know all the products they made for turbo set ups were just plain horrible.

In the DSM worlds there FMIC are top notch many people over 500+awhp and no issues. Like stated above looks like they are turning around for the better. We just need a update on how the fit is now.

I would imagine only 1 3/4". I have pmed efialchemy lately with no response as I thought these were supposed to be on the test car two weeks ago. I might just pull the plug on a set of brand new second gens for $250 and have them welded in... just scared to see how much it will cost.

I thought why not just call them it's alot easier then waiting for a pm? I talked to Eurospec so I will let him post up all the info but they are not ready they still are working on the fitment. He can chime in more if he likes.

Here is an update,

We recieved the production piece about 2 weeks ago for us to check final fitment, if they fit correctly we would have given the go ahead for them to start production, and they would have been avaliable this week.

To be very honest, the production piece still did not fit to our liking. Some of the changes we asked them to incorporate did not get accomplished. I will not endorse the product, or give my blessing to sell them until they are correct.

So, right now here is where they stand. We have contacted them and given them another list of discrepencies that need to be corrected prior to release, it was nothing major so i do not anticipiate a long wait for them to be fixed, but we are still waiting.

Thanks Rick, the reason why I did not call was because I didn't want to bother them while they are working on someones car. It looks like I will just be getting the second generations and having mufflex weld them up to the catback. Thanks again.

I just checked with SSAC and the boss said that they will not be offering a package price deal for the forum members anymore. He also said that the final fitments of the latest generation headers will be in the next 10-14 days...

Rick, what were some of the fitment issues with the new ones? How long did they take to install, and how did they fit up to the catback? Just curious to see where the real problems were.
