I meant the HUD/Dimmer switch on the left of the IPC not the HUD display, I don't think there is a viable way to change the color of the HUD projector... Wish there was though!!!! Anyway, the problem with the HUD switch is that the holes for the stock bulbs are much smaller then the other switches in the car and those PLCCs ain't going in those! Everything else should be fairly easy with the PLCCs (probably just jinxed myself!).
I know from playing around with the LEDs that just one Red and one Blue is too Blueish... How many Reds and Blues are in those Festoons of yours?
If you store your car for the winter, send me your stuff and I'll experiment on yours!

yeah, i was talking about the IPC switch, too. i just didn't know what was going on inside of it. if the actual HUD wasn't perma-green, that'd be sweet!
as for my festoons, it's two rows of three (row 1: red, blue, red; row 2: blue, red, blue). mathematically, it all depends on the output of each color more than the numbers. if you want to do 1:1 with yours, then you could try using increasingly stronger resistors on the blue to lessen the output until you get the color blend you want.
and i'm actually moving from TX to SD this Christmas/new year~ish time & then there's the potential for a deployment by this spring, so i'll keep that in mind
Looks great. I'm looking to do the same for mine but I can't find a thread on how to get to the footwell light or the connector. Pardon the pun but can you shed a little light here for me?
thanks
That turned out really good! Is your passenger **** temp control in the HVAC changing color between Blue and Red pretty good?? I forgot to check... Some change really well while others just won't, luck of the draw I think.

Very nice instructions ! Does anyone have a diagram for the HUD switch, positive and negative. I'm kinda stumped as which leg is positive and negative. Doing the change out over thanksgiving week. Any help is appreciated! Do i solder to the board or use the little bulb holders?
Thanks
Sonny
On the first page of this Thread I have all the pin outs so you can benchtest eveything...
You can use the bulb holders for the Interior Dimming icon and the HUD up and down position rocker, the other two should be soldered in with the LED down in side of the switch aimed for the best effect. You really have to experiment with the location especially on the Page and HUD Dimmer slider. FYI the HUD switch is a real PITA!
i think its LED strip, Im in the process of doing all mine to LED, waiting on a few more from Oznium, anyways mine are the white and shine like that at night
