I always park with the passenger side of my car facing the building. That allows me to:
1) get out of car
2) press button to open the cover and lift the cover open
3) raise the top and close the cover
4) reach inside & close the drivers side latch
5) walk around to the passenger side
6) reach inside & close the passenger side latch
7) hit the lock button 3 times to raise the windows as I walk towards the building
Parking with the passenger side facing the building saves me the trouble of walking around the car twice to latch both sides. I'm really lazy!
The window valet is a great tool and will do just what you need. It was one of my first mods
As for windows up or down; to me it depends on the weather. In Vegas with 120 degree temperatures, the top was down but the windows were up and the AC on full to keep some cool air in the cockpit. In UK in Winter, the heated seats are on and the windows are up to keep the warm air in. If the weather is good then the windows go down.
As for looks - who cares. I'm now past that and I set the windows to suit me.
Another vote for window valet! Just press the lock button on the FOB 3 times and up go the windows. Three times unlock and the windows go down and my radio comes on!
Just some advice for vert owners out there....if the air outside is too hot or too cold, try leaving the top and windows up and use your AC or heat. You'll be surprised how much more effective it'll be than just having windows up alone.
Top down and windows up is for Sebring owners. Only they take it a step further and only raise the back windows sometimes.
Not exactly true. I often drive (in the winter) with my top down when it's well below 40 degrees f. Put the windows up, turn on the heat and it's almost like riding in my old 80 T top with the tops on...
+1
LOVE to cruise year-round in 70* weather like some of ya Florida guys....and others..... but up here in the Great PNW, sometimes top-down, windows up is a GREAT ride!

Surely there are nice weather days that deserve top and windows down action. If you live in a place than can't muster more than a weeks worth of decent weather may I suggest the targa with a clear roof. It lets the sunshine in and keeps the weather out and you can take the roof off for those two good weeks.
