There are 2 SRT's in my county, they dont deal with me ANYMORE. when I get in the passind lane they just move over wave and let be pass.
This past summer one of the SRT's tried to follow me into an off ramp, the guy had a hard time keeping up with me,his rear end wanted to dance..little *** tires
The car came to a total of 48,000 on the sticker. The dealer had added a set of wheel locks and something else. To me, for a muscle car, that is just retarded.
2. Performance
The car was a big disappointment here. First, you sit so high up that it feels like you are in a small suv. The clutch had way too large of a range, and the release felt awkward. The shifter was an absolute joke. It felt like you could rip it out of the tranny. The handle is soft and it felt flexible, like an older porsche boxter. The overall feel of the car was "heavy". I was utterly dissapointed when I put my foot into 3 times. 2 times I ran it 1st through 3rd gear. I told the sales guy after I punched it that I wasn't impressed. He told me that I had it in the wrong gear. LOL
3. Looks.
To me, the car looks great. Nice mean, muscle car look. Interior was nice, had a lot more bells and whistles that the Z. The seats were comfortable. I'm 6'1'' and a 6'5'' person could easily fit in it.
Overall, I thought the car was a joke. Maybe they hit it right on, as far as being a muscle car, because it drives horribly and feels like a tank like the cars from the 60's. But for 48,000?
The Z and a Challenger will dyno in stock form around the same RWHP (350-360 ish) the challenger weighs at or over 4K lbs.. There is an easy second difference and 10+ mph between the 2 in a quarter mile.
Not even close. They are nice, I've driven one with the 6spd but are heavy.. My folks have an SRT-8 Charger, which has similar specs.. Run good for what they are.
The Challenger is a huge car in comparison to a Vette, even compared to a Camaro or Mustang. It's built on the same chassis as the Chrysler 300 sedan. They are nice looking but they're way too high and long. Once again, Chrysler builds beautiful junk!

The SRT-8 cars run about even with an LS1 C5. The quickest one through the 1/4 mile is the Jeep. My stock 5.7L Charger went 13.9 @ 100 MPH. They are nice cars.
Got a friend that is car sitting for a guy in the middle east. One Charger SRT8 (shifter, tune 360WHP), One Callenger SRT8 (getting Supercharger installed as I type), and RAM SRT10 (supercharger and other goodies in bed of truck waiting on install).
The SRT8 Challenger is supposed to be at 550WHP after install. I'd like to see if that is enough to smoke the C5Z. It had better be. But you never know.
I was thinking LS1 F-body, but I guess the C5 is pretty close. Great looking cars, but WAY too big and heavy IMO...
Heck, my 1970 BB Challenger was smaller and weighed less...

The are low 13 second cars, stock. A few stock Jeeps have gone 12.9s. They are respectable cars for sure, way cooler than the Imports.
