I didn't buy it. I was just wondering if anyone else has.
Yes, I bought one when I got my first C5. :o I'm sure it added at least 75 RWHP and if I could find it, I would be happy to sell it for a dollar or less. Save your money, they're a scam.
What this device does is increase air velocity, not flow. Its decreasing diameter reduces flow area, which in turn allows incoming air to travel faster. If anything, the engine would end up with less air, not more. It's like sucking air through a straw and then reducing the diameter of the straw opening at your mouth. The air will feel cooler, but less of it will be drawn in within equivelant time spans.
It improved my throttle response... I found one already installed in my TB and removed it thinking it was snake oil. Well low and behold my throttle response got a tad sluggish, reinstalled it and the throttle response improved... FWIW

This is because your ECU was used to "seeing" reduced airflow and adjusted the air/fuel ratio to compensate. Once you removed the "restrictor", you should've given the ECU enough time to readjust - probably a week of driving. Your throttle response would've returned with a vengeance!
I state again, I did not purchase and did not intend on purchasing, I was just curious what you guys felt about it.
Got ya,,,general consensus,,save your money,,especially at that silly price. $5 maybe ,,$50!! Actually not worth 5 bucks either!! Just like smooth air couplers,,they DO look nice,,but that's it!!
