I suspect you won't find quite this passionate a forum for your basic Hyundai, Corolla, Taurus, Malibu, etc.
What the heck, man? Why did you mention those cars? They are just your average family haulers.
Keep it in perspective. Would you find a forum just as passionate as this one about Vipers, Mustangs, Supras, STi's, and EVO's?
You bet your *** you would.
Corvette snobs to me are the people that own Corvettes and fail to realize that anything else exists. They put their car so high up on a pedestal, that they think everyone and everything else is below them. There is a lot of that going on around here.

I had four C4s before I moved up to a C5 - and I liked each one of them. While the C5 is a better overall car, the C4 offers a lot of fun and performance for the money.
sadly...I think I am. C4's before the LT1....not my favorite thing. But thanks for bringing my high nose back down, I need to remember the c4 zr1...that was my favorite car when I was a kid.
I kinda like that black C4 up above. And the red one on the second page of posts. I think a lot has to do with the color, how it's taken care of, what sort of extras have been put on the car.
Snobbery depending on the generation of Corvette is wrong. I don't care if you don't like C4s, they still demand respect. Any well maintained Corvette, in the matter, demands respect no matter their generation. If you don't like that generation don't buy one, but that doesn't mean you have to be a snob about it. Many people on here don't like Vipers or Ferraris as much as their Corvettes, but that doesn't mean that you don't respect those cars either.
Snobbery is just as it is called, snobbery. If you don't mind being a snob or looking like a fool, by all means, be one. But when a base C5 or base C6 guy doesn't pay respect to a C4, they should realize that their car isn't any faster than a few stock C4s (like the King of the hill).
The first Corvette I ever got a ride in was my dad's yellow 1963 FI SWC.
I was a fetus at the time, but I still say it counts. He sold the car to finance having a family just before I was born.
The first ride I actually rememeber getting was in a blue 1984 riding in the cargo area under the hatch glass. This was around 1987, so the car was only 3 years old at the time. The C4 instantly became my dream car.
At the age of 21 (1994) I had to decide between a used C4 or a new Z28. I chose the new Z28 and got myself a black 1995 LT1 car. I did test drive a new 1995 Vette... man was that sweet but not affordable. I had to have the LT1 but could only afford it in a Camaro.
The worst experience I've ever had with a Corvette owner was at the 1997 Hot Rod powertour. The C5 had just come out and I saw my first one up close and personal at the kickoff party for the tour. I walked up and started checking it out. The owner was sitting in it. I asked him what the horsepower rating was and he told me rudely to go look it up in a magazine. What an ***.

Honestly, expect the dipsh!t that tells you to "look it up in a magazine" to really not know anything about cars to begin with. He probably bought the car for status. Today, he's probably a lonely shriveled up little man, and still likely a dipsh!t.
Like Ron MN said, an @ss is an @ss no matter what they drive.
Real car guys would never blow someone off like that.
I dont know why people dog out the C4 so much... I mean damn, its a car from the 80's and '90's... yes its kinda dated looking, but who cares. What GM car from the 80's is not dated looking???.. it's still a Vette... Just have fun and keep on rollin'.
I'll say this again . The C4's have many superstars around. The 96 grand sport . Has anyone priced one of those ? The Callaway TT Aerobody . Callaway speedster . The ZR1.
Why would anyone put down such a great generation of Corvette ?
What C5 will become a superstar ?
Hey guys.. Maybe some don't like the C4, But it is still a Vette, I have nothing against C4s at all, I am embarrassed at some of your replies and are making the C5 guys look bad.
, I was looking at a C4 when I got my C5. I like them.
