A couple of years ago I switched over to Pennzoil Platinum (wanted to try something different and Walmart keeps putting on sale!)

I'm planning on switching to the new Pennzoil Ultra when it arrives in Canada (so far it's only sold in the US and only at Walmart)

Those two sentences don't go together then, because if filtration is important to you then the racing filters are not going to provide the right level you need. They are geared for high flow and won't trap the smaller particles as well as other oil filters will. I'd recommend sticking with Amsoil oil filters if you're already buying their oil, as their filters trap a lot of smaller particles very well.

I almost killed my VW engine by using Amsoil for about 10K miles.
I cannot believe I trusted some advertising trick! I actually didn't trust them I thought they lied twice, meaning 12K is OK. Wrong!!!!

I've used Mobil 1 5W30 since I bought my car new in November 2003. She now has a whopping 8283 miles on her and I haven't had an oil-related problem yet!
