I know that - I'm talking about after market antenna for FRC and convertible, so my question is about these parts
FRC and Convt looks to have the same rear body panel so why antenna are different ?

Default No difference...........

Who says they are not the same?

I've installed four GM power antenna into FRC/Z06es. This is the kit I usedhttp://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...dept%5Fid=1424

Here is a copy of the install instructions:http://content.madirect.com/pdf/607083.pdf

The kits are the same from both Eckler's and Mid America but I think Mid America was cheaper.

Only difference was I installed a switch in the power lead so the anntena would not go up when the CD player is used.

Hi,

thanx for links but please have a look here : http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette?frame=2.9152
One is for FRC (Z06) and the other for Convertible (even if no longer available)
The only visual difference looks to be the bracket and additional wiring.
I also found :

Do you have a GM part number ?
Thanks
mimi

The Z06 may not come with one, but the wiring and the mounting is there for it.

I installed the GM one in mine with no problem.

Did you just follow the Mid America installation instructions?

Yup.

You can even buy a switch to defeat the auto deployment, but when I swapped out the radio it has that option built in.

http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette-2-308-9152.html

The mounting bracket anchor and the ant wiring (DUH) are already in the car., but you have to run the trigger and power & ground (big deal) to the box under the carpet and a ground.

Install is DUCK SOUP.

You just have to remove a taillight or two.
