as in lap joint or butt joint on the pipes themselves. there is no way i'd do a butt joint. as in 2 pieces of pipe butting up against each other end to end as compared to one sliding in the other. I haven't seen any major exhaust system do that and for good reason I think.

Teasing me with those mufflers again.

You want a lap joint clamp

shadeshift: Awesome number there, torque is big! Did New Era have anything to say about the system or how the install went? Thanks for posting up!

That pretty much confirms my Dyno run as well. If you draw a line over the valleys were the Dyno was picking up noise it pretty much matches yours...

SAE also, good! What does your Butt-O-Meter tell you?

Well, after recalibrating my right foot for added weight...the car definitely pulls harder, and goes through the RPMs noticeably quicker. The car sounds *very* healthy. It had a nice note through the Ti exhaust before, but seemed a little choked. Now it has a nice deep open tone into 3000 and just opens up and screams past 4000. Awesome sound...and no drone whatsoever in 6th on the expressway.

IMO, the sound of the car now matches its power, which is the way it should be.

just finished up install on my set fit and finish was second to none. I have owned 3 z's now and have had the much more expensive brands doulble the cost and they never fit into place like these did. I would recomend this product to anyone out there looking for an amzaing long tube system with easy of install and great craftsman ship. And lastly i started the car up for the first time and not one exhaist leak to be found anywhere, i was always chasing a leak here or there on the first start up of other systems.

Customer service is amazing aswell. Jon was rt there with a quick painless transaction and quick shipment of porduct and jon answered a question i and within mins of me asking.

Me and my dad each just purchased a long tube header system from Jon at xs power last sunday evening. Within 24 hrs i had a tracking number and its says they should be here on Tuesday. I can not wait. After sending an email about not wanting post my credit card info on an email he personally called me within a few min. to get the number. Jon provided great customer service. I will getting the car tuned at ECS after the install and will post what numbers it made.

Glad you are happy so far! I strive to give the service I know I would like to receive when purchasing parts! Keep me posted when you receive them and get them on! Also you have my phone number now, so if you have ANY questions during the install feel free to give me a call! Thanks again for the order!

Well I suggest to anyone who has not yet installed the headers to

1. Get locking nuts/washers for the bolts provided which connect the header to the x-pipe.
2. Use loctite on those too

Mine fell out and I really cranked them down tight...bah now I need to jack the car up again. This was my fault for not doing #1/#2 above...

Any hardware store how does Teflon help lock a nut? If I had a problem I would use a lock washer loctite won't work unless it's the high hear then it's never coming off the lock nut with nylon would b a bad idea heat and all

After some research I realize I should have said just lock washer, my bad!

I didn't know loctite is heat sensitive
