Doug, just so I'm clear on what you're saying. Are you agreeing with Joe's suggestion to consider eliminating the t-necks?
Yes I am! This wouldn't change the light output and if making this change would help make the look like it was OEM then it is the way to go. Don't feel you need to compromise the overall project at this point.

Understood Doug, that is absolutely still our goal...

Sorry, guys. The car is going back. I've been looking for a new place to live and needed the car to get around. I work from home so I didn't need the car for that month. Just waiting to hear from Pete to find out when the car should be going back.
Perhaps I'm being overly concerned prematurely, but there may be a problem with the look and/or efficacy of beam adjustment the way these are currently laid out.
As shown, the face of the light openings are parallel to the edge of the bucket, which is not perpendicular to the line of travel. Lights inserted into these openings will be pointing off each side of the road, not straight ahead. Remember Marty Feldman?
Now, if the intent is to add cylindrical necks within these skewed openings so that they point forward, and the light openings are in fact perpendicular to the line of travel, then they will be OK. If the openings are not perpendicular then you'll have unequal gaps on each side of each light, and will not look right.
I anxiously await the next iteration.

Not to throw a wrench in the process (or slow it any more down), but JW... since you like LED's so much, maybe a future version of your Sun Guns could have some turn signal LED's fitting into the space around the headlights...
That lil idea aside.. I like 'em.. now get 'em made already! (Still haven't installed my Sun Guns! )

Michael would be better at responding to this one.
Just some input, it seems we've gone from covering too much of the sides of the projectors with turtle necks to completely covering the sides with cylinders
The fact that there is no lower oem attachment point may allow the freedom to move the concave curve on the side view back a bit revealing more of the projector housing (and possibly using less material and allowing greater cooling). They really are nice projectors, covering them up to this extent seems a shame.
Mike, you wouldnt happen to have a CAD file of the lights mounted on the brackets would you?
I might try to mock one up but dont want to have to remove the lights to measure them.
Very glad the fabricator is gotten this much work done. Very nice job
Also: just a thought, but looking at the bottom reveal under the cylinders, the dimension there seems mighty short. It may be that when open you will see a space into the area under the light. Would have to see them mounted.
