but granted, driving around with the top and windows down is noisier with the wind and all. i find it sometimes hard to hold a conversation especially on the high way with the top and windows down, but putting the windows up decreases the noise tremendously.
and for cruising around town, i occasionally leave them up cause i get tired of dealing with ignorance. what i mean is people shouting at me going 45 mph down the road. or at a stoplight some jackwagon says 'hey that got a hemi' or 'wana race'. not to sound like a standoff but i find it any easier way to ignore them.
I carry a pellet gun in the car for people like that, It drives me nutz to see people do that, It is usually a stuck up snobby chick driving a beemer that doesn't want to get her hair messed up, and talking on the phone. Also there are woman in my Vette club that make their husbands put the windows up, my wife tried that on me once, I gave her a helmet and a winter coat!

When it was hot in Vegas but I still wanted the roof down, I'd put the windows up to trap the cold air in the cockpit. Other drivers would look at me from their air conditioned cars as if I was mad. I've had the roof down with 126 degrees on the clock and the AC on manual and full on - with the windows up.
When it's cold but bright in England I put the heater on max, the windows up and the heated seats on to trap the warm air. I'll even wear a coat and gloves (shock, horror)
My view is it's my car and if I want to use it to get maximum enjoyment I'll do just that. If that means windows up and top down, you bet. I'm not affecting anyone by my actions so in this case I really don't care what they think if I'm comfortable.
Its 32 degrees in England today under bright blue skies. The top will be down and the windows will be up.
The convertible windows go down auotmatically when you put the top down.Once in awhile when it is late at night an getting cold I will raise my windowsup so I don't have to put the top up but never just driving around.
Saw a guy this afternoon riding around with his Top down and Windows up. What's y'all opinion on this?
When my mother got her first convertible in the 1960's, I told her the windows would fall out if she drove the car with the top down and the windows up. She kept the windows down whenever the top was down.
Top down, windows up, looks silly to me.
While I don't like the look of top down windows up I have been guilty of it at times.
Another one of those things though that I fail to see why people get so riled up about?
Yesterday morning, leaving the house it was 39. But the sun was shining. Top down, but once over 60 mph, I put the windows up and seat heaters to the highest setting. When I hit a 40 mph road the windows came down.
