Top down, windows down, except when my wife is with me and then it's top down, driver's side window down but passenger's side window up. It must look weird but I'm not driving with the window up on my side. No way. It's just not right. Suggested she wear a baseball cap or scarf of some sort, but that didn't work. What's up with some women and their hair?
I roll them up when the wifey starts to complain about her ears. Had em up going over Beartooth Pass when it was about 28 degrees out, had the heater on, too. So what!
My car, public road, free country..............
It says to me that my car was in the shop and the convertible was the only way for me to get the kids to soccer practice. They insisted on putting the top down, but I'm really not a Corvette Convertible type, so the tp down/windows up was a compromise.
But if you truly don't care what td/wu says about your manlyness, then raise those windows. And don't get a chill.
It's GAY! Plain and simple... I have a convertible c6 and I wouldn't be caught dead in it like that... If you call me and I answer and it's too loud, then I'll call you back when I find a safe place to pull over... I'm not the smartest man in the world but I know a sin when I see one, and windows up is a sin to the car gods!!!

At least you got one part right.
It's just windows-not some retarded religion.
This is awesome, it looks like the homotopians are getting all upset, since homotopian is such a long word, lets just call the people that drive with their tops down and windows up homo instead.
Goofy. That's why I have a FRC. I took the targa off one time on the C4 and that was it. I don't like wind and road noise. If I want wind I would get a Harley
but if they want to look goofy it's not against the law yet.

Better yet....lets just call the people that it seems to bother so much ....homo's ....not that there is anything wrong with that....except it bothering them so much....
I have put lime in Corona...orange slice in Blue Moon and rode with windows up ,top down, and heat on so...
whip me beat me and call me Phyllis if it makes you feel more like a man ....
I just realized that I misread this the first time, I thought you said top up windows down, not top down windows up. Here in Florida we make fun of people for doing that all the time, usually they are tourists here in the winter riding with the top down when it's not really top down weather, I know a lot of people say "to each his own" but to me, I think it's GAY
Only if you have your collar of your shirt pulled up in the back also. Top down windows down, but the wife dont want her hair to blow so her window up..Drivers also down with top down.

I got a vert because there is no substitute for the driving experience of interacting with the environment. The sounds, sights (and even smells) make driving my car that much more enjoyable. I drive with the top down as often as possible. Having the windows up detracts from the experience for me.
I agree with DeeGee though that if having the windows up means I can keep the top down I would have no issues with that.
I do it once in a while in either of the convertibles. I put the windows up on the freeway most of the time so my hair doesn't get blown around too much. Also, if I'm talking to the passenger, the wind noise is a little much depending on how fast I'm going.
In the Corvette wind and noise isn't nearly as bad as it is in the Solstice. But on the streets, I generally keep the windows down.
No biggie! Here in cold country it makes it comfortable to drive with the top down when I might otherwide not be able to. If it is implied that it looks whimpy -- who cares??
