NOOOO, they are in perfect condition, but now I can say- does anybody have that rubber think( protection) because I make hole in my-left-trying to remove that thing.
Hmmm.....a 98, with a P0601 code. Two forum members called this early in the thread, but for whatever reason, you ignored it. Had you done a search, you would have also found, that a P0601 code is VERY common in 98's, and 99.9% of the time...........is PCM failure.

Have you figured anything out yet? Im still trying to find a TAC. I had my computer checked by east coast supercharging, they said it was good but im begining to wonder if that is the case. Although while I was taking the fender liner off, I did find a dead mouse maybe there is a chewed wire somewhere.............................

NO, now Im buying PCM because did't work well with my new TAC....
Did you actually get it done for this yet or is this YOUR estimate?
Last time I went to a dealer for anything, they wanted $60+ to reprogram the keyfob on my 08' Pontiac (not customer programmable anymore-you need a TECHII to do it). I'd be VERY suprised if you got a ECM replaced for less than a grand at a dealer.

First of all, sorry for such a long delay. After I fixed my car I went on a month long vacation. And YES! It was the PCM. BUT, I had some problems ordering that PCM. First of all, I ordered that thing from toaht GM guy, Gene Culley and he sent me the part, telling me that it was a new one from the factory. All happy, I sent the part to my dealer and he couldn't program the PCM. At the dealership they told me the PCM is from GMC '99 and it couldn't be programmed. I called Gene and he was very rude with me when I told them that I needed to return the part. He asked a whole bunch of questions and in the end he said "If I don't recieve even one information from you that I asked for, you will never get your money back". I don't know if he was wanting to scare me or something, but I'm sure I will NEVER deal with him again. In the end he promisd to send a shipping label, which I never recieved, but they continued to tell me that they sent it. He even charged me more for the shipping than what he actually paid, almost half. In the end I paid the shipping. In the end, my dealer got the part cheaper than what Gene sold me (which is unbelievable) and I ended up paying labor, computer, PCM, and the rest, $650. I can say that I was happy with my GM dealership in Louisville, KY. Now Ive ended up with and extra TAC sitting in my closet. (anyone want it?) Again, sorry for such a delay.
Thanks,
Tony
