trust me on this: You arent getting spark and your fuel pump isnt working! I did all the same things, check the vats, checked the battery, checked the grounds, tried disconnecting the battery. As soon as I can get my hands on a TAC module Ill let you know if it fires up. My cars been down a few months now, I hate looking at it knowing its springtime and I cant drive it.
no still in the same boat, trying to get a hold of a TAC. Everyone emails me with, "if your interested in new, contact me" then I do and........its on back order. On the forum they sell so fast, its crazy.
HOLY HELL What a mess. I almost don't know where to tell you to start but, here goes:
Remove BOTH battery cables! Clean and inspect! Look at the crimp connection under the rubber cover! If all is well reinstall. TORQUE the bolts to 11 ft/lbs.
Turn on the headlights. Motors should both go up and the lights should be bright. Turn lights off. You just checked the main 12 VDC battery buss.
Read this post. In the post, I discuss reading the voltages on specific fuses that are powered by the Ignition Switch "HOT IN RUN AND START" feed. Turn the ignition to ON and check each of those fuses to ground. On top of each fuse are TWO small slots. Those are TEST POINTS.
Each fuse should read full battery voltage. If you have a LOW reading, you need to clean or replace the ignition switch.
In the passengers foot well, you have a fuse box and the BCM. To the LEFT of the BCM are two thin Gray connectors. Those are STAR 1 and STAR 2 serial data buss connectors. One of the connectors has FOUR wires. The top of the connector comes off and theres a shorting strip in the top that connects all the wires together. Remove the top and see if that changes any symptoms. That removed the door modules and the seat module from the serial buss.
Give all that a look see and tell us what you discover...

I found one today that has the exact number that we need (1257...3). I bought it for $200 and it was from C5 2004. We will see what happens when it comes Monday.
Thanks,
Tony
Computer... hmmm not sure. It looked like it was in good condition and I didn't find any traces of water damage on it. Anyway, if there is something wrong with the computer, I will need those guys to synchronize is with the TAC and the rest of the car. I will try to get the car to the dealer one of these days and hook it up on Tech 2. We will see what will happen. You will be updated
Did you ever try a new battery? These things are pretty sensitive to een a slightly dying battery.
I've had a problem before with a dying battery and it's not even close to this. Anyway, anytime I do something around the car and the doors are open or I give contact with the key, my battery is connected to the charger and the power is never less than 12 volts. But thanks anyway. Is it possible for something to be wrong with some of the sensors? Any sensor? Maybe the engine, transmition...
Try this. OPEN BOTH DOORS! Pop out the accordion tubes. Fish the wiring harnesses out of the door pillar hole.. Disconnect the connectors and see if any of the female pins are bent, burnt deformed...
