Default Exercise that passenger window!

Just a word to the wise - If you don't ever use your passenger window, expect to not work, some day. I not only put the passenger side window down every time I pull into the garage, but I also try to reach over and use its window switch every now and then.

I recently cleaned the passenger side window switch contacts in my 89 Mazda and now the window raises and lowers noticeably faster. You know the old saying - Use em or lose em!

Good advice. I installed the window valet as it makes life easier for us vert owners, however I should use the passenger door controls more often. I have probably only pressed those buttons a dozen times since 2004.

good advice...the window valet is great for coupe owner's too...lots of times I want to put something on the passenger seat when shopping...it's way easier from outside the car, so I use the window valet to create an opening.

This is good advice I have a 00 GTP that if I don't use the passenger Window regularly I have to give it a hit on the door panel to get it to work.

I would think the same is true of the passenger power seat controls and since I rarely have anyone in my C5, those controls almost never get used, either.

When I had my 68 vert, I'd leave its hardtop suspended in the garage for the whole Summer. When I drove to work in the morning, I'd leave the windows up and sometimes turned on the heater. Of course, those windows were "crankers", so I didn't worry about electrical contacts getting corroded!

Default Storage and rust or ride ?

Great point, I had some trouble with one of my headlights, it wouldn't go up and down with the other. . I ran them both up and down five times and they work perfectly now. I have to forget about not using during the winter, I ain't taking with when I pass on. And that too far off. . .

Except when the passenger is a young kid - then the window motor will get worn out!

I do this everytime... before I put the car in the garage, I roll the windows down and up.

Good advice, but I am afraid it is a little too late for me. I am currently experiencing the passenger side window problem.
