Default Pfadt C5 Header Status?

Unless I missed something it has been awhile since I heard anything about how the Pfadt C5 header development is progressing.

Can anyone from Pfadt comment on the project?

I messaged them the other day. They are coming this summer. Here was their response to me asking if they are still working on the C5 Tri-Y headers.

"Yes we are. We are still looking at mid-summer on the C5/C6 variant. We are rolling it into the next large run of header pipes because we made changes so that it fits C5 and C6s. The mid-pipe will obviously be different but you get what I mean."

Waiting to see Pfadt's results before I fully commit to the LG headers.
In meantime I'll continue to enjoy my Pfadt suspension

I've already committed. I recently ponied up and bought the Feather Lights for my car. Love them. I have had a great experience dealing with Pdadt through the process of getting them installed and dialed in. I've had so many of my questions, both related to the products I just bought from them, to just random questions on future mods to my car and their opinion on it. Always prompt to reply and do their best to give answers and advice. With that in mind and with those Hi-Res photos showing the quality of their headers, I have to wait for them. They are like jewelry.

Prices are already out there. The C6 versions have been available for a while now. I'm sure you already know that. Sounds like it's the same header now, but the X-pipe will be model specific. They are priced the same as the other big boys. I'm just figuring on 2K for my header install. Headers, a nice weekend spent under/over/under/over/under/over........ my car, beer, BBQ......
Figure I will want a tune as well. At that point I will have the Vararam, Shaner P/P throttle body, LS6 intake, headers, Corsa exhaust......
I have an ECS mail over tune now and will send it back for a retune. When I finally do heads and cam, I will get an actual dyno/street tune. Hard to justify $500 for a tune multiple times.

That's why I'm waiting patiently for these headers.

I'm saving up for the Johnny O'Connell Stage 2's, after seeing Kevin Mixon rocking them out at MSR Houston on his blue and orange C5. I'm sold. I'm sure the headers will be on his C5 once they're complete. Nothing like real world testing to compliment their engineering!

How much road noise to the feather weights transmit into the interior of the car?

Running coilovers won't increase road noise at any significant level, at least that I have ever seen. Plus, I'm pretty sure its hard to hear any road noise over the screams people are letting out when they start blasting through a corner the way a Pfadt equipped vette does anyways

Ive noticed no aditional vibrations or noise. My ride quality is better as it absorbs the road much better. Still bumpy but not jarring like it was before. Much more solid and stable. I have C6 Z51 sways.

Very cool. So you do all the manufacturing on the headers in house?

We do.... its the best way for us to ensure the integrity of the engineering is maintained during the manufacturing process.

I mean, why go fast if it doesn't last?

What are the advantages of these new pipes compared with the ones already on the market; other than perceived quality? I've had my LG Pros for almost 10 years, and they are like new, aside from the natural heat discoloration.

Great question! I think you hit it right on the head...a good quality header should last for 10 years. There have been some headers that have come along for our c5's since 97' that just didn't hold up as well or or show as much HP gain. As with any good design, here was our focus:

Engineered for optimal performance - Our Tri-Y design is an awesome answer to TQ/HP trade-off typically found with these types of mods. The design gives us a really fat torque increase down low as well as great peak HP numbers. A lot of science goes into header design, especially when you start focusing on optimizing the pressure pulses within the system to achieve maximum power. Our engineers hit this one out of the park with their analysis.

Top notch materials and manufacturing- Great materials, great equipment, and some seriously talented guys back in the shop make sure our headers are built to last.

Those are what I'll focus on for now, but of course the V-band clamps are pretty cool, and our customer care and tech support is always above and beyond.

Oh...and did I forget to mention this?? (not sure how it helps, but somehow it does )
