I would not get rid of my C5 Z06, but I could not argue with wanting a C6 Z06, ZR1, or a Grand Sport.
Not interested in a base C6 at all. Now please do not temp me with the C7. That thing is HOT and calling my name. I am actually AFRAID to go look at one when they come out. My wallet and my bank account are AFRAID, VERY AFRAID!

IMHO the c5 looks better than the c6 or the c7 for that matter. is it as fast or have as many gadgets? no but it looks better and can be modded top equal or exceed the c6. With my c5 I intend to keep it 40+ years 
the ONLY way I would get rid of mine for a c6 is for the blue devil other than that c5 all the way for me!

I can't believe I'm saying this but DW ok'd me to buy a newer Vette early this spring. I found THREE different C6's that I really like but I just can't bring myself to go back into debt. It'd be great to have an almost new Vette but I just don't want another payment book in my desk.

Me and my Z have come a long way. Modded pretty much the way I want and it's paid for. Personally the style is on point with the newer corvettes and I still get plenty of stares and positive comments. I don't ever feel like I'm driving a plain car. If God shines down on me, maybe a C6Z, or possibly, a C7. Base model C6 has never appealed to me. Compared to my car, it looks plain and you see them everywhere. Plus never cared for the front. As far as the GS, love the wide body but the lack of the 427 is the deal breaker. No posers please. I'm happy with my Z. I'm prepped it for a carshow next Saturday right now.

I might go for a C6 someday, when the prices get down to what I'm comfortable spending on a weekend toy, or I finally retire and need a new DD(they are getting close). One big reason for keeping my C5 is I have not seen a color combination on a C6 that I like as much as the Pewter/Light Oak on my C5.

Aren't you still on a mail order tune and no real numbers or ET's to back up your statement? & Assuming your car makes 420-430rwhp?
The C6Z is an all around better car..period.
Sure, MOD The HELL out of your C5, drop a HUGE motor in it to compensate for the lack of cubes. It still won't be a Z lol

Does NFW tell you anything? Don't care for the looks and as for the Viparo (C7), I'd get banned if I posted what I really think of that so my C5 is probably my last Vette. If I get rid of it any time it'd have to be for another brand. Probably a Porsche.

I don't mind most of the C6 but the front looks like they glued on a viper front clip and I always thought the viper was heavy and ugly looking. Look at the C5 beside the C6 . The C6 has a huge grille opening and the C5 is sleek and stylish. And the ugly and huge headlights on the C6 are another whole story. I look at buying a C6 as down grading. I will keep my C5 forever.
