C5 vs C6

I've been fortunate enough to have each of the Corvette generations except the C5 . . got alittle bored with the C6, sold it and got this C5. I got a good deal on buying the car and thought I'd improve upon it, tweak a few things mechanically and cosmetically, then peddle it.
Now, after six months of ownership, the "newness" hasn't worn off yet and I'm really enjoying the car. In many/most ways- it feels like my C6-- power, handling (now with Bilsteins and sways)...might actually have more interior room. Wish I had the C6 dash and stereo/climate controls.
Point is- I don't miss my C6 at all and will hope to drive this until C7s are on the street.
Oftentimes, we want what we don't have. If you're longing for a C6- by all means get one. But when the newness wears a bit, I suspect you'll wonder what the big deal is all about . .
Just my .02-PRecision Red C6 and my Blue Deuce . . .

I went from this

to this because I thought I was moving up, but I just wasn't falling in love.

Then to this, because I thought it was the drop top that I was missing.

And now, I've come full circle to this. Turns out I was trying to love the wrong car just because I thought it was better.
I have a vert and keep trying to talk myself into a Z. I totally get it worked out in my head and I am ready to go find the Z. Then i go drive my vert with the awesome visibility, sound and free and open feeling. Then I know I have to have a vert. After a few weeks of not driving the cycle starts all over again. Lol.
I guess the best solution is to have both! Maybe one of these days!

Your vagina must be bleeding bright red.
I was giving you a hard time, because I know you secretly want a C6Z. But you justify not getting one because of what you've done with your C5.
It was seriously all in fun. I didn't think I'd strike a personal cord.
My apologies that you took it the wrong way

This is also a big plus, besides the feel behind the wheel

With that being said, I do love the C6 widebody, especially the GS. The GS is well out of my price range currently, but once my C5 is paid off and the C7 pushes prices down a bit... we'll see
I choose the C5 because of the aesthetics of the car. To me its just a better looking car. I also feel it fits more into the traditional styling of the Corvette. For example, the pop up headlights and a few other styling features are throwbacks to older Corvettes.
The C5 is also a roomier interior and is easier for me to drive with the manual transmission as my knee was always hitting the bottom of the dash when shifting in a C6.
Bottom line, the C5 was the best choice for me.

A properly modded C5 looks 10x better than a base c6 on any given day. The front bumper is perfect, the rear end is perfect. I love that low wide look the C5 has. Even better when it lowered on a nice set of wheels.
The c7 on the other hand, They knocked it out of the park with that one.

Nothing like a C5Z to put things into perspective. No matter how many times I drive a C6Z, I still prefer the rawness of my C5Z!!
