IM still trying to catch a crab filled Flounder....I go fishing for flounder, and never find any with crabmeat inside... I often wondered where those restaurants get them... there must be a secret fishing grounds where these suppliers catch these tasty fish and sell them to seafood restaurants...IN fifty years of fishing I've never caught one...

I don't own a Rolex but had a $20 copy years ago. Loved it and would like a real one too. In essence, all the talk about Rolex, Timex, phone, etc.. boils down to this:
It's exactly the same thing...
I have a fairly cool story about this particular Cormorant...
I was shooting wild life about 200 days a year... I would scout out the 1200 acres where 258 species of birds have been reports . I would go to this same spot, and after a month or so I saw this one Cormorant swiming closer and closer.. but still about 50 meters away... these birds are divers.. they hit the water.. dive down and come up 20 or 30 feet away...
as time woul go on this guy would come closer and closer... one day he popped up 30 meters away... dove down .... and popped up 20 meters away, then came right up to me.. and looked me in the eyes as if to say hello..
here are a few shots... hope no one get angry... OH Ill add a Corvette shot from the reserve, to make it relevant...
I took this shot from my favorite spot.. he's 100 meters out in this shot.. he came up with this Carb.. this guy had a 5 foot wing span.
So my Rolex had an issue with a buckle clasp link and the AD(Authorized Dealer) said I should buy a new wristband (1977 Submariner).....for $1400. He obviously had no idea who he was talking to, so I said no thanks and promptly went back to the shop. I pull some 316 stainless plate and then proceed to cut, grind, file, pound, form the replacement link to look identical to the broken one and BAM! it's DONE! Saving me $1400 for a real authorized 93150 Rolex band.

Rick, I just went through this last year
Rolex tries to get you to build a new watch... it didn't need a new case or frame... they still guaranteed the service ( 1058 dollars )for 2 years.. and I sent the watch to a Guy I know in Hong Kong who is an authorized Rolex Technician... everyone in my watch forums knows this guy.. he charged me 150 dollars to take out the stretch, and replace a few links.. it came back looking like a New Bracelet..

I'm taking mine in for service next week and getting the appraisal documentation from the Rolex dealer. Insurance wants a copy. Yes I know new service replacement wristbands are expensive, You mentioned a guy in Hong Kong named Michael who has a very good reputation for actually rebuilding old wristbands for $200-$250 with decent turnaround time. He is highly recommended on the Rolex forum for his work.
